Manners.
Respecting your elders - 1st Years (11/12 year olds) must not talk back to older pupils!
Cleanliness - Is it just my OCD-ness or are things and places getting dirtier these days?

I'd say respect. No one respects each other, ideas, beliefs, and most importantly themselves.

In the battle between idealism and realism, they lose. Idealists lose because they lack "realism" and are confronted with realistic points of view (in fact you can raise idealistic views in a realistic manners, but most people like to turn to narrow-mindedness, repition and values that just "ought to be" and therefore lose). Realists lose, because they can't link it to worthwhile goals, and therefore become opportunitists. What the world lacks is realistic idealism. Idealism clearly laid out as a plan. On a too related note: this is election night in Norway (only counties and regional, but still).

People with too kind an attitude never get anything done. They become, at best, symbols. Look at Gandhi, the other people in the party were the ones that really ruled. Same with Joshua (or Jesus if you wnat to use a GREEK translation, why I don't know, but it has been a craze for a long time to use the greek translation), it was the more resilitent Peter (or Simon really, can't bother with that story) and the power-hungry Paulus that really took over and formed the whole thing. Ideals and attitude is the way to go, THEN you can get heard and get things done. Simplicity? You can have as much as you want. Any simple anwer or messages I don't trust. If it was that simple, it would never have been a problem in the first place. I can only trust people that really explain it, though it may be a bit hardto understand. The alternative iswaffling and slogans. Still I am giving simple anwers and messages every day, and I never trust them. Unless simplicity refers to a way of life, to be discussed, I simply disagree.
