Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I truly understand your sentiments... I don't hate Shuurei but those guys deserve far better women in Saiunkoku than career obsessed Shuurei. I mean of all the guys that might be willing enough to stick with Shuurei, is Seiran. But, Ryuuki needs a princess and Shuurei is making it hard for him to marry someone else because even if she doesn't say it, Ryuuki feels that she loves him. So he dangles like a fish on a hook that has a big fat worm on it. But in terms of time frame and basing on historical facts, Shuurei's kind is unusual and guys like Seiga and the other officials in the Kingdom is somewhat a representation of the public in those times, of how they resent women who think like Shuurei does. But what the author puts is the modern day woman like Shuurei who goes beyond limits and by sheer luck (and the author's wishes), manages to get the right respect and admiration. Women of today are like Shuurei--- they don't marry young because they are career obssessed- I'm among them. But I'm not like Shuurei's type who would hook someone like Ryuuki and then allow him to dry up under the heat of the sun. So, Shuurei is admirable for always pursuing what is right, but she's just too horrible to the men of Saiunkoku. She shouldn't lead them on like that. I prefer Jyuusan-hime's character because she's the fighter, realistic and reasonable. Too bad Saiunkoku Monogatari's main character isn't her. Long reply, huh?

Click to show or hide If you'd hate the writer... then it's like implying that you hated Saiunkoku. hehehehehehe Whether we like Shuurei or not... her character makes the story interesting; her actions ripple to the courses of events in SaiMono. Every character in SaiMono is interesting and makes a good plot that's intriguing to follow through the end. So, don't be angry at the writer for making such a wonderful story... just continue to hate Shuurei if you want. hehehehehehehe We never know... she may die at the very last season and everyone will live happily ever after. :w00t:

I see a good story in Seiran. Ensei is just a wonderful rock. Great personality. Great presence and a good comfort. He's quite an ideal man. So, is Tantan-kun. Reishin will scoff and say that Ensei is just a rugged guy from a rich family who ends up "poor" and "wandering". (can't stand arrogant uncles like him!!) C. Shouka-san will worry about Shuurei less since Ensei is so strong. D. Tantan-kun can finally concentrate on his own career, now that Shuurei has a new bodyguard instead of him. E. Ryuuki will sever all ties with him in hate. F. Kouyuu will be relieved that he is less likely to marry Shuurei himself. G. Sakujun aka Lin Senya is apparently dead by suicide of poison so he will not bother his first and only love, who is Shuurei. H. Ryuuren will have to leech onto Eigetsu more often since Shuurei will thus have less time to spend with him, thus angering Kourin! Thus: Spoiler Alert! She chooses to go as far as the Sa Province to pursue her dream instead staying by the sides of Ryuuki~
