I've never been a big motorhead fan. they're fun, and lemmy is hilarious, but the music is really so-so. i only tend to enjoy it when drinking heavily.

You have very good taste in metal, particularly for a 16 year old girl (here in the US young girls are notorious for horrid taste in heavy music). Bathory and Nile are two of my favorite metal bands that you rarely hear people mention. It must be because you're from eastern/nothern europe. The farther east or north you go in europe, the more they know their metal. |

I heard that the new Megadeth songs that were posted on their myspace are pretty good. I haven't heard them yet but someone here might have. I'm heading over there right now to check it out, I'll be back with the news. I imagine they are working on something new. |

Good list of classic rock, classic hard rock, and some very surprising mentions. I never though I'd see Night Ranger or T. Rex mentioned on this board. Only a couple genuine metal bands on there though (though you never claimed any of them were). That being said... Ozzy? He's been the punchline to a joke for waaaay to long. He's always been defined by his guitarist. Be it Iommi, Rhodes, or Wilde, those are the true men behind the curtains pulling him along Ozzy is a waste of time and a product of marketing and hype. I saw him live at Ozzfest years ago. My god what a sad display that was. He wandered off stage for about (seriously) 10 minutes during his set. It was all good since his awesome band turned Mr. Crowley into a huge epic song it was never intended to be to cover for him. When he wasn't jumping around saying "ever'yone clap yer hands!" every goddamn 5 minutes, he was unloading water on the crowd. Thank god I didn't pay for the pit. If it wasn't for Pantera headlining and blowing everyone away I'd have been upset with how lousy he was. He's just dried up worn out peice of rock history that was never all that remarkable in the first place. He had a distinctive voice that complimented the music well, but he has become overblown patriarch of metal he never really was. Tony Iommi was Black Sabbath. Ozzy was barely even aware of what was going on around him. |
