i agree with CoF getting sucky...have you heard of satyricon?, they're Norwegian black metal pretty awesome and Job For a Cowboy's new genesis album is pretty kick ass

I think they suck, sorry. I just don't like them, if anything they are far from being "metal". I hate mainstream bands.. Underground hardcore is cool, but As I lay dying, Atreyu, and Lamb of God are fag bands. Go listen to Necrophagist, Guttural Secrete, Severed Savior, Decrepit Birth, Deeds of Flesh. As for shred Dragonforce sucks ass, I hate their music, their technique is cool, but their music is flat out gay. listen to guys like Jason Becker, Greg Howe, John Petrucci, Marty Friedman, Yngwie Malmsteen to learn real shred. I love music with a passion, ask me about any genre Afro-Peruvian, Jazz Fusion, Metal, Classical(Any Time Period), Punk, or whatever.

I used to be really big into Black Metal, and Satyricon is awesome. Satyricon and Darkthrone are the only true old schoolers left (unless you count the new Mayhem - at least they have Attila back now).
So much CoF hate... their fist few albums were pretty good, though Dani is an arrogant cock.
But eh, I haven't seen anything too impressive in the metal world in a long time. For me it's all classical, classic rock/alternative, jazz, and strange indie music my friends recommend to me.

Orly? I went to one of their concerts and it sounded pretty tight. Sure, the sound on average was pretty shitty due to the small hall and outdated sound system, by technically all was pretty damn good. :3
