The new Slayers?

so the new series is finally here. somehow it feels a bit different than the old ones.

maybe the annoying digimon thing bugs me too much. why can't it be a dragon or whatever >_<

Yes Xelloss is one of the best. I Liked Gourry too though. I remember how funny it was when that captain dude fell in love with him when they had to cross dress to get on that ship. Anyway Lina's small boobs FTW!!

I agree with LavenderYuki. The series does feel really different, especially with the digimon thing, which really bothers me right now... but it would be interesting if it was related to beast master Zellas or something to that effect. I hope the series gets more like the others as it progresses.

The series does seem different, but it's been like... 11 years since the series was first animated. I love how they still have the original voice actors. But they didn't change the music. That makes the series feel homey, but I was looking forward to more than just new opening and ending songs. (which are cool).

i hope Nahga the Sepent would appear in this series. i missed her anoyingly loud laugh and ridiculously big boobs<3

Yes... It has been 11 years since the last series... but I really don't like the modernized feel at all. I feel like they waited to long to start this one and it's lost it's original feel. I also wonder why the director decided to make it so slow paced. XP oh well, it will still be cool to learn more about the world and the characters.

But if this is your first time watching slayers you should really start out with the 3 original series. They may old but in my opinion they are much better (especially Slayers Next).

at least they got the characters' personality right....so that makes this season bareable....muwolf what do you mean slow paced??? i hope you mean the manga and not the anime because i found alot of things in the second ep than in the manga... they put in more than they should like......the sword of light that the little creature had was a copy.....and that the little creature ,like zel, was not in his form by choice......that was alot more than the manga let on......sorry but i cant call getting all that information in one ep slow paced.......by the way slayers next is my fave out of the three seasons too.......

I think it feels so different because they haven't really gotten into the plot yet. They're still introducing the new characters. Once the plot gets rolling, I'm sure things will take off.

Well for one, it took Lina 2 episodes to cast the dragon slave XD And it seems like they spend a lot more time talking and making every aspect of the conversation clear (to the point where they just become repetitive). It seems like the characters would only go into that mode when they were explaining the world or magic, not if Lina is guilty or not XD Yeah a lot of information happens at once but the sequences just last so long. Maybe I'm just being picky but ya gotta agree it feels different. I hope resident_bishounen is right and the series takes off once the main plot is introduced.
