Château d'Yquem

Probably the sweetest wine in the world, and is very expensive. Château d'Yquem can also be used when flambeing Suzette-crepes.

Have you ever tasted this wine? How was it?

Do you want to have a taste of this wine? Why?

Err.. Discuss Château d'Yquem

Wikipedia:

Château d'Yquem is a Premier Cru Supérieur wine from the Sauternes region in the southern part of the Bordeaux vineyards known as Graves.

In the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855, Château d'Yquem was the only Sauternes given this rating, indicating its perceived superiority and higher prices over all other wines of its type. Wines from Château d'Yquem are characterised by their complexity, concentration and sweetness. A relatively high acidity helps to balance the sweetness. Another characteristic for which Château d'Yquem wines are known are their longevity. In a good year, a bottle will only begin to show its qualities after a decade or two of cellaring and with proper care, will keep for a century or more, gradually adding layers of taste and hitherto undetected fruity overtones.

Since 1959, Château d'Yquem has produced a dry white wine called Ygrec, made from an equal proportion of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is not produced in every vintage.

'Aight.

I haven't tried, hell I've only tried wine once and I didn't like it.

So what if that bottle of 'french name that I by no doubt will mispronounce' is so sweet, it's still alcohol. Bleh.

Exorbitant living... gotta love it.

I don't think I've ever come across such a liquor, but the wines I've tasted are probably cheap compared to this draft. I'm actually pretty fine with drafts like cabernet merlot (much sweeter), and that does me well. No intention of trying extremely expensive wines...

You can use wine for gourmet cooking. As I have stated, Chateu d'Yquem can be used for flambeing suzette-crepes.

Drinking wine in some formal dinner can clean your palate; thus, enabling you to enjoy your food more.

Red Wine is also good for the heart.

My mom has drunk this wine before, but it was when she met Prince William at the opening of a new building. She didn't like it much though, she thought it was too sweet, but apparently it does taste expensive. I wouldn't like to try it, and I probably won't because I have much better things, like ridiculous novelties, to spend my ££ on.
