because 4kids is targeting the wrong age group for the general anime viewing populace. The average anime lover is like 13-24, 4kids is targeting kids from 4-11 years old

We hate them because they take shows for kids 9+ (Relatively) and turn them into shows for 4-year-olds, hence all the editing and changes.
They ultimately SUCK for changing Tokyo Mew Mew, Ojamajo DoReMi and Winx Club.
BTW, there are **TWO** Winx Club dubs, one done by a Canadian comapny whom Rainbow hired to produce an English Version and then 4kids re-dubbed it. Go figure.
But while I HATE their dubs, I really liked their OLD site, where they had customisable anime-avatars, and you could color everything! (I once had a blue-haired Zakuro in Stella's Formal dress.) Then they cahnged the site and made the avatars weird, cartoony pieces of crap. That's another reason to hate them.

They change plots, and they made them more for a younger audience. i mean i love sonic x, but it couldve been better. same with winx

4kids tends to be extremely heavy handed with their editing.
Often removing or changing whole stories from anime because they found it too offensive for the conservative types.
Funimation wasn't much better earlier on, iirc.
They seem to be stepping back, though. Giving anime the breathing room it should have.

Yu Gi Oh was alright, from my recollection.
But I just hate how they try to hide the Japanese culture in the anime they dub,
Like in pokemon Ash was holding an onigiri (rice ball) but 4kids replaced it with a sandwich.
That's a form of racism in my eyes.
