I went to Thailand about 3 years ago. I went with a tour group for the most part though, so i can't really give you any info on the "normal" Thailand. It's gorgeous and Pattaya Island is a really fun place to be. It was crowded and noisy in Bangkok, but I think it was pretty safe for the most part. Thailand is gorgeous && make sure you try all the new foods, especially the fruits. ^^

Streangely enough, I used to have a thai neighbour. She got me a job when I was 14 and I remember being in her house when she fried up a spider and gave it to me, it was a tarantula ( i don't know where she got it) and I ate it. I didn't even realize it was a spider until after when I saw a whole tray of them and my brain began to process what had just gone on.

It's pretty. There isn't really much else to it than that.
