Dreaming is your brain's way of organising your memories. (Much like a computer defrags files.)
This is why it is so important to get proper REM sleep before a test.

Some dreams do have meaning to me, when you get that odd feeling of deja vu and realized that you may be remembering the situation from a dream... that's creepy.

However, there's another kind of dream a lot of people have and don't realize that other people have the same dream.

That sensation of being right on the edge between dream and reality and you feel yourself start to "fall up" uncontrollably towards the ceiling, when you hit, your whole body jumps and startles you awake.

Yah that's not a dream, that is the beginning of astral projection, which is why so many share it, the trick is to realize what it is before you hit, and stop yourself, if you can (it's hard) you can move your "soul" and turn around and look at yourself sleeping on the bed, if you can accomplish that much, you can go anywhere you want. The trick is doing it before you hit, cause your subconscious mind will read the "hit" as a real thing, which is why your body reacts with a jump and wakes you up.

Dreams are manifestations. It's up to you to decipher what they are telling you.

It depends on the dream for me. Some I see as signs, others I just go "What the hell?" at and shrug it off, because most of mine are too bizzare to mean a thing.

I see it as me in an alternate universe.
Sometimes horrible events happened to them.
sucks to be them o_0

Sometimes you feel the deja vu,
that's cause you've seen you alter ego been there in your dreams

yeah dunno why but "SOME" of my dreams where a complete representation of what's going on with those people dear to me

just like last week i dreamt about this close friend of mine and we were hanging out and suddenly there's a phone call, she stopped moving and wasn't saying anything at all and cried, i told her about it and she asked what's the day when i dreamt about that only to find out that that same day she had a heart attack and she almost died because of it and her boyfriend was crying so horribly begging her to not to die

and there's many more....

Dreams do somewhat have meanings. They reflect your inner thoughts, feelings, fears. What I really want to know is why we have deja vu! It's really odd and kinda creepy. You know, if you don't go back and think about the fact that you're experiencing deja vu, the deja vu keeps going? I've tried it before and it's weird and interesting at the same time.

as a person who studies dreams for a hobby, and maybe someday a living, i believe dreams have meaning.
dreams are very innovative. sometimes dreams will be used as self-therapy if you're troubled, and suprisingly, it works.
sometimes dreams may tell the future. not like it will get it right, but usually if that future is on someone's mind, they strive harder to achieve it and it works sometimes.
but also sometimes your mind is bored (or thinks you're bored) and just makes random things happen in dreams to entertain you.

I believe dreams try to tell us something or give us a touch of what can be real. I always ponder what my dreams are about and what revelance they play in my life or how they will connect with what i face.

I once dreamed that I would be rich, like 'sweeping under the sofa and money is scattered there like dust' kind of rich, it hasn't happened yet but I believe in dreams so that time would come

anyway, lately most of my dreams are including me and the characters from anime, and dramas I've watch so when that happens I think I have just been too addicted to a show that it even follows me in my sleep

Yes, I have a book that tells what things mean if you dream about them.

I strongly believe it does. Except when you have odd, very unlikely dreams, such as the Government completely banning children under the age of 18 from showering in order to conserve our nations water. True story. I don't think that will ever happen, however. Oh God, please, don't happen.
