dreams occur as a way for the brain to process memory in other words the meaning they hold is what happened to you before but not for your future

I had have many dreams that came true later...and some really baffling/ weird dreams...like dreaming of eating hot dogs , and dreaming of folding laundry (how mundane is that?!)........I've also had a dream that I was asleep and dreaming that I was asleep and dreaming.... took me 3 tries to really wake up...I kept "waking up" then realized I wasn't really awake but still dreaming and had to wake up again...BTW I'm a lucid dreamer. Anybody else? Also, as a kid I was a really bad sleepwalker....I went down a flight of stairs and tried to open/get out the door...I think I was going to school...and I always kept waking up in places other than my bed......I wasn't a lucid dreamer back then. :/

a "meaning" can be interpreted very differently...
I believe that dream are just what your subconscious "thinks" and nothing more, it doesn't have a meaning in the way that if you dream you love a person, that you actually love that person..
But it can have a meaning in a way that it makes you think about different stuff and from that you create yourself a "meaning" to your dream

as a researcher of dreams, i find dreams VERY interesting. i have dreams almost every night as well.
i use my special ability to my full potential as well. i await my sleep every night, as i get to go to my dreams, the amazing artificial world in my head that I control.

In the dream I had recently I went on a typical family holiday. Nothing special, just a small cottage near a beach, spent time in the local pub etc... The kinds of holidays I had as a child. Only... I wasn't with my family in the dream... I was with a married lesbian couple.

I think i've been reading too much Fu-Fu (or Wife and Wife).

I would say, yes, I do think that they have some meaning. Many dreams I have had in the past seem so surreal, like you're actually happening in real time. Then I wake up, and it's not what happening at all.

As dreams are the recollection of random stimuli that one has encountered in the past being converted into memory, no, dreams are not supposed to have meaning.

I believe dreams have meaning... though I can never really "read" my dreams very well.... last night I had a very strange dream, but it had such an impact on me, that when i woke up, I jumped out of bed and ran to my door to try and save the person who was danger in my dream.. Once I got to my door, I was standing there like... oh..... it was a dream.... I tried to think about what it could mean, but I still do not understand what it could have possibly meant..

yes, i'm a very lucid dreamer. my dreams are very real, controllable, long, meaningful. i'm glad to know there are more lucid dreamers like me out there.
