Kitty GYM is a temporary unit formed to promote Volleyball. Because the "Kitty" section does not sing much, they are often referred to as simply "GYM". In graphics, however, the Y is much larger than the G and M, showing the true focus of the group. The "GYM" portion is composed of Yamashita Tomohisa and the Thai duo Golf & Mike. The "kitty" portion, which mainly serves as back up, is composed of Kitayama Hiromitsu (Kis-My-Ft2), Inoo Kei (Hey! Say! JUMP, formerly J.J. Express), Totsuka Shota (ABC), and Yaotome Hikaru (Hey! Say! JUMP, formerly Ya-Ya-yah). Though there are only four members of kitty, there has never been a second T. They released their first and possibly only single on August 30th, 2006.

In summer of 2006 Yamashita Tomohisa was put into the promotional group Kitty GYM where he and the Thai duo Golf & Mike were the principal members. They had a hit single (No.1 in the Oricon Charts) called Fever to Future.

After the single release, Golf and Mike returned to Thailand but KITTY continues to perform as a unit on occasion, mostly on The Shounen Club.
