Okay, Fansubber fan sub to help the community that cannot understand their language. I dont understand why when things get licensed they immediately dump the anime with out even a cease and dissist. here is how fan subbing goes for some people.

Somebody translates:

Character1: Oh no a tree!
Character 2: Idiot!

you get the idea. then they save it in a .txt document (or in a file) and give it to someone to edit or whatever and then that person sends it to a timer to match the times with the text. I don't think there is a law against the translator because he or she doesn't always have to have the video on his or her computer and I do not think the timed file can be traced back to who ever and whoever especially if the video isn't encoded with the timmed file and everybody downloading the episode takes a risk alot of people still download the file even if it isnt subbed.

I think some fansubbers are just being lazy and want to drop there project. but anyway thank you guys for all you do and all your help fan subbers.

P:S: Im a fansubber. I fansub for SunFlowerSubs. Oh and I know fansubbing is illegal. Have you ever come across a group that gets lots of donations but says "we really would like to finish this series but its licensed" and we wont even translate the second season with a differnt name. but thank you and keep donating. [now it may not be exactly like that] but I have.

The groups that tend to drop series aren't typically very good anyhow, and many also try to take on far too many series at once, or try to be the fastest group (see: gg, shinsen). Also, there are some series that just don't need to be subbed, ever. Like Musashi GUNdoh.

Fansubbers drop series when it get licensed since they don't want to get sued for copyright infringement (they are not gonna risk getting sued) and since an anime series is gonna be avaliable sooner or later in your country there's no point subbing it anymore. Also, some fansub group lack staff so they have no choice but to drop a few project or so.

If you are complaining so much about fansub group dropping some projects then open your own fansub group. You have no right to criticize or call other fansub groups lazy when they spend hours or days of their time subbing anime for leechers like us. And they are doing this for free, if you wanna watch licensed anime (fansubbers dropped) so much then buy the official DVD's to support the anime industry.
BTW fansub groups usually communicate through IRC when they are subbing.

You are in no position to complain unless you are a fansubber as well.

seriously this is not appropriate in anyway whether u understand why a fansub group drops a project or not doesn't even matter they provide u wit a free service that they don't need to, instead of insulting them be grateful and keep ur mouth shut

the very thought of this thread is irritating, complaining about something that others do for free (it's like a homeless refusing a burger cause it has onions on it)
