Hi! I was just wondering what you people think of light novels being turned into animes. Like for example would you read the light novel or would would you watch the anime first. Or would you just wouldn't read the light novels at all.

Now there are some animes that are made into light novels later on although it's only for 1 or 2 volumes but if you like or if i forgot anything on the list please do inform me or pm me so i can put it on. ^^
I would like your opinion on them and plz enjoy and feel free to talk about which is your favorite. If you want more information on any of the titles up there on the list please pm me and i will do my best to look up more info. I would put it on there but that would be a bit too much ^^'.

I actually like light novels and watch the anime later or if it isn't publish yet (which most haven't) would want to read them anyway. So i know most of the series up there and want to read the light novels. How about you? ^^ Also i can't accept people who hate light novels who come in here just to say they suck or flame it. It is very disrespecful and rude to dismissed someone's else opinion on what they like. If you do that here i will report you. Please keep it to yourself although if you don't like a series, it's fine to say that but it would be nice to give a reason why ^^

Please enjoy and if this was already done before please locked it then

I'd like to read the light novels first, but they're rarely translated into English, I've bought Japanese light novels before but it was just impossible to read them with my limited vocab.

I very much favor light novels turning into animes. As much a joy it is to read a wonderful story, it is jusy as wonderful to want to better yet watch the characters come to a living motion to see with our own eyes. Many light novels even turn out to be far better then most long term animes created. Take the latest anime released from being an orignal light novel, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, as much as reading it, I all ready find it most ehjoyable as an anime. -Sir. Nicodemus Pendracul

It's not really bothersome at all turning light novels into animu adaptation.

Well for me, It's more convenient to watch than reading them and most of the time, it lacks an english translations.

Baccano! , KKN , and NHK are my favorites.

Its ok, at least novel to anime translations make them more accessible to the general public... not to mention making the characters waaay cuter. Plus english translated light novels will ruin your vocabulary or what little literary skill you have, I swear. It's better to watch it in subbed anime or read it in translated manga.

My personal faves are Vampire Hunter D and Trinity Blood.

They should translate Lord of the Rings into a Gonzo Anime. I can almost see Sauron as a scary Druaga-like mecha, Frodo and Sam as chibis, and Legolas as a Bishi. If they can do it to Seven Samurai, they can do it anywhere... lol.

Light Novels are relatively long and production companies can make use of them.
They can create an animation and not worry about making their own story.
They earn more money but selling these adaptations with multiple seasons <_<

NO! Gonzo should not make a Lord of the Rings Anime.

Isn't Kara no Kyoukai a series of light novels as well?
