For the information of other users, appendicitis wouldn't be triggered merely by jumping or running around aimlessly after a meal. it is caused by the fecaliths (small fecal matter from food particles) that enter your appendix. They provide nutrition for normal flora or the bacteria inside your GI tract, and would therefore cause the inflammation.

But I should add that one should rest after meals considering that it aids digestion by supporting your body's parasympathetic response.

**claps** you're now officially called the EPIC Doctor. ^^

Harharhar! I have yet to proceed to medicine after my BS Nursing. And my knowledge is due to the fact that I have handled several patients having cases of appendicitis. So the disease is far from foreign for me.

Xiao, you can bungee jump all you want, but not after a meal. It would be unsightly to see your gastric contents all sprayed after you vomit.

There was a basketball camp held by my school . On the second day , i felt that i wanna vomit and my stomach hurts. My friend accompany me to the teacher and the teacher brought me to near-by clinic .The doctor said that my stomach is okay , just need to rest . We need to go another destination so we just got off by-bus . I was so painful that i couldn't go kayaking . The teacher left me with my senior(he was sick too) ~ We sat around , waiting for the teachers to come back . I couldn't bear it and went into the toilet .
I was stuggling with pain and i was rolling on the floor . My senior brought me to the sick bay and i was offered a milo-drink . I only drank abit and went into the 3rd floor toilet . I vomited green-color substances , and soon my teacher came back . My teacher thought i was having just a normal stomachache and we went back to school . I told teacher i need to go home ,because its so PAINFUL that i can't even bear with it with my fullest . The teacher brought me home and i struggling in pain at home . After a few days , i was admitted to the hospital . The doctor there told me i have appendicitis and need to go operation .

Assisting on the ruptured cases are a big challenge. Peritonitis from a ruptured appendix could be very disturbing, if not unsightly. Oh and a craniostomy is love! I just pity those clients who had suffered from cerebral hematoma.

yeah like for those patients with vehicular accidents! lol!! and oh ruptured appendix may lead to sepsis..ive been to ICU and i have a patient and makes it as a case presentation..sepsis probably due to gunshot wound cuz it almost takes him 1-2 hours to travel to the hospital and his Oxygen saturation falls below 90 that it needs to put an endotracheal tube and connect it to mechanical ventilator..continous suction of the secretions..hes left kidney is not working properly cuz it was hit by a bullet and we have to monitor intake and output..*sigh* it was tiring!..but he has a good prognosis anyway and he even survive that!

First you feel a generalized pain all over your tummy. Appendicitis happens on the right lower quadrant of your abdomen. Try to palpate that area (push it with your fingers, gently). If you feel a lot of pain, then it is a probable sign of a swollen appendix or some other underlying condition.
