Q. What's the first thing you do when you get a new schedule book or a calendar?
A. I don't put anything in a schedule book or even in my cellphone. So, I don't do anything.

A. Maybe it's not a day of the year.. The day you'll die, I think. Everyone will become sad that day, but I don't want everyone come to hate it.
Q. Arashi's said to be sparkling, but if you have to describe them in a word?
A. Well, They're an idol group, no?
Q. What kind of presence are the other members for you?
A. Aiba is kind, cheerful and funny. Jun is cool and handsome. Sakurai is smart and funny. Oono takes it easy. They're all good persons. They all have a different way of being a good person, but they all own something I don't have. So, I've become the diabolic being, but I decided it's ok with this (laugh). It's not that I came closer to them analyzing everyone, we just was this way together, so I can't answer.
Q. If you had to describe you inside Arashi by using a kanji character?
A. It's "ichi" (一, it means "one" in Japanese ndTranslator), "ichi". Because I'm one in a group 5 people.
Q. You're the man the most ... in Arashi.
A. Arashi's fan. I use to watch Arashi's tv shows pretty often.

A. A man who thinks about staff. I get distressed when I can't completely understand the thing I'm thinking about. Because I'm a man who lives with fine sens, I haven't thought about living thinking about staff. Lately I can't sleep thinking what people are living thinking about.
Q. What kind of image do you think you have?
A. A good person. Anyone didn't say me I'm evil, ever! (laugh) I don't think I'm such an interesting person, but in the end I'm the one who likes myself the best. Even when I watch tv shows I always think: "I'm the best", and I'm happy when others praise me saying: "Good work". Then, I'm not the kind of person which tries his best making people laugh. Anyway, my mother always laughs when we all say amusing things.

A. I'd like to live as a common person, so I'm not perfect. If I had to sacrify something, it would surely be love at first. Because I'm living thinking that I wish the parts lacking in my life, it becomes also a thing I wish for.
Q. In which moments do you get moved?
A. When I see things that go beyond my imagination. I can cry with things such as Olympic games. Don't you get moved with sports?
Q. What did you find funny lately?
A. Soccer games. When it comes to games, I feel like I could beat even Ronaldhino at soccer.

A. On ordinary days. I like that kind of myself (laugh).

A. Be yourself, maybe. Usually, normal people can't say anything. Maybe they're embarassed (laugh).

A. Maybe when someone tell me they like me.

A. Work and private life. Because with my work I can meet a lot of people, and I can't meet them in private life. It's a good balance, isn't it?

A. 1) I'll become 25. My car insurance will become cheaper, and I'll have lived for a quarter of a century. 2) I'll play games. 3) I'd be the happiest if we'll be able to make concerts funnier than last year's. People who come to see us has the main role, but even doing it is pleasant.

A. I don't buy diaries. But if I'll buy one, the first things I'd write would be my family and friends' birthdays.

A. My parents' birthdays. If I don't forget I contact them.
Q. How would you describe Arashi in a word? It's often said that they're sparkling.
A. Anyone hasn't told me that (laugh). "A toy box". But I don't know why (laugh).
Q. What do you want to accomplish even if it takes you 10 years?
A. There's something, but I want to do it before saying anything.
Q. What kind of presence are the other members for you?
A. Ono is like the air. He doesn't change, he's calm, he's really amazing. He relieves you. Sakurai has a lot of interests and gives you the impression of being an intellectual. I always think he's amazing. Ninomiya is clever. You can understand it from his affability. He clearly turns it on and off, it's a good balance, isn't it? Aiba is a lively person. Looking to different people, I end up thinking he's lively. He's precious, a natural treasure.
Q. If you had to describe you inside Arashi by using a kanji character?
A. "Ugoku" (動く, it means "to move". ndTranslator). I always move as I like. On the contrary, what kind of image do I have?
Q. What kind of image do you think you have?
A. The one of an unpleasant and temperamental person. But I'm a good guy (laugh). I'm often told: "Surprisingly, you're a good guy". But the word "surprisingly" makes me angry (laugh).
Q. What's the compliment that makes you the happiest?
A. Things like "Somehow it's good" or "Somehow I like it". Instead of being told exactly what is good about a certain thing, I'm happier to share the value of liking something but not being able to say what is good about it. You feel something when they show you amazing things in arts or entertainment. Sometimes you get moved, sometimes you're frustrated.
Q. What are the two things that support you?
A. Maybe incentives and spirit of inquiry give me support. When I find something interesting, I should die if I don't think deeply about it.
Q. What did you find funny lately?
A. Soaking in the bath to my ears.Sounds are totally different from how you normally hear them. Even the sound of water that flows from the faucet, or my voice saying "Aah" sound different. It's fun. Haha, what a dark guy (laugh).
Q. When do you think you are cool?
A. When I've decided what to wear. Sometimes I decide what to wear the night before, sometimes I decide it in the morning. In reality, when I decide it the night before I won't actually wear those things, so when I decide and wear it in the morning I feel like saying "Yey!".

A. When you can see around you, you can feel it even if it's too small, a warm thing.

A. I like both. How do I tempt? I won't say that (laugh).

A. I don't have preferences, and I can fall in different situations. Maybe when I find good points that make me think "This is that person-like".

Q. What's the first thing you do when you get a new schedule book or a calendar?
A. I decorate the calendar. And I write in the interior my appointments with the dentist and this kind of things.

A. The New Year's day. I like it because all my family gather on that day.

A. "Happiness". We can enjoy doing anything when we are together.

A. I want to do a live outdoors. We only did it once. There is a lot of space, so there are a few parts you should worry about, but I'd try my best.

A. Matsumoto is one who takes the initiatives and makes us doing various things. It's like he's playing his role among the 5 of us, but I want to cheer him on. He is a moral support. Leader is leader, of course. He's called leader as a nickname, but he's reliable. He is a moral support. Sakurai is actually working as a newscaster, so it's interesting to watch tv news together. He is a moral support, like a teacher. With Nino I often play baseball or soccer. So he's a friend. He is a moral support.
Q. If you had to describe you inside Arashi by using a kanji character?
A. "Bou" (暴, it means "outburst". ndTranslator), I think. I can't control myself. When I'm with others I can't stop talking.
Q. You're the man the most ... in Arashi.
A. Meek and mild. I'm a meek and mild guy (laugh).
Q. Now, you're the man the most ... in the world.
A. It's a broad question (laugh). I'm a man who doesn't say things like "The number one in Japan". But I'm pretty impulsive.
Q. What kind of image do you think you have?
A. I think people see me as a slight and stupid person. Because I'm slight. But please, put more emphasis in it. I'm actually pretty shy and fine. But, because I just switch on, I think I don't have anyhing to hide.

A. "You're a fool!"

A. I can't understand the difference between love and affection at all. I think the feeling of "I like you" is the most important.
Q. In which moments do you get moved?
A. With the first coffee in the morning. I wake up thinking "It's come!" and then it becomes "Today too, I'll do my best!"

A. When we play games all together.

A. What's that question (laugh)? Did anyone give you an answer? I'm quick. I wasn't popular at elementary school. So I've always run.

A. When we go camping and she pitch the tent on her own, or things like that. I like people who can do anything on their own.
Q. What are the two things that support you?
A. I think it's people, rather than things. What should it be? It's too hard to choose only two things. My family and friends are a support, also my parents' dog is a support. Maybe, Arashi and days off. I'm not the kind of person who confides his troubles to his friends, but when I have fun with my friends I can find all the answers to my problems. Even without looking for them. For this reason days off are also important.

A. 1) They say that a man stop growing at 25, so my final struggle is to reach 180 cm. 2) We're going to do lives. We did a lot of lives in the past years but, instead of not doing them, I still want to do them! 3) This year, I'll become the first man in Japan who can speak with animals.

Q. What's the first thing you do when you get a new schedule book or a calendar?
A. If I had one, I'd only write the days off (laugh). But in the past, for almost 4 years, I kept a one word diary where everyday I used to write the most impressive events of that day.
Q. What's the most important day in a year?
A. I haven't thought about that (laugh).
Q. Arashi's said to be sparkling, but if you have to describe them in a word?
A. "Peace". Arashi are peace.
Q. What do you want to accomplish even if it takes you 10 years?
A. Could it be something I want to do forever? An hobby? I've liked painting since a lot of time, and it's so enjoyable because this interest has grown up in me. Last year I also started fishing as an hobby. I'll never ever get tired of it! There are a huge variety of rods, so it's interesting to catch also small fishes. But when I immerse myself in a drawing without taking a break until I reach the result I wished for, and finally I finish my paint ad look at it, this is the coolest thing.
Q. What kind of presence are the other members for you?
A. Nino isn't he a person who can do anything? Maybe he doesn't show it to others, you haven't seen him working hard to do something (laugh). Anyway, he can do anything, he's amazing. Aiba, isn't he honest? During tv shows for example, he arranges anything earnestly with the staff. When the engine starts, he's racing even in the dressing room (laugh). Sho is interesting. Sometimes he keeps the tension high, other times he's calm, or he suddenly start doing news. Lately I've seen a many sides of him, but all become interesting. Matsujun comes in contact with different people doing different jobs, and assimilates different things. But no one changes.
Q. If you had to describe you inside Arashi by using a kanji character?
A. Eeh? Should I say that by myself? There isn't (laugh).
Q. You're the man the most ... in Arashi.
A. Lazy. There's no doubt.
Q. What kind of image do you think you have?
A. The one of a person who always sit down dreaming, or that looks sleepy. Feel free to think as you like (laugh).
Q. What's the compliment that makes you the happiest?
A. I'm often told I'm healing. They say me that even when I don't do anything. So, I'm simply happy (laugh).
Q. Now, tell us about love.
A. It's a warm thing, like wrapping the other person naturally. Isn't it something you feel naturally in your heart when you are with your family or friends? Being supported by your family and friends.
Q. If we go to a concert, what part of Ono will we fall in love with?
A. What's that question (laugh)? Rather than me, it's not the fact that the 5 of us are trying our best and enjoying one concert all together? You can't see it, but running around and changing fast in the backstage is really hard. The fact that we're trying our best is the best thing.
Q. In which moments do you get moved?
A. When I catch a fish. Holding it in my hands move me and I can't help but feel like thinking "Yey!".

A. Saying her "I like you".
Q. In which moments might you fall in love?
A. I always do things ordinarily, but when I find a child-like innocence in little things.

A. 1) I'll be addicted to fishing. 2) I'll get an electric bicycle, leaving it in an acquaintance place, and I'll go fishing with my electric bicycle. 3) I'll take pictures. It's been a lot of time since I started taking pictures to my works and drawings with my single-reflex camera, but I could carry it around with me taking pictures of people, landscapes and everything.

Q. What's the first thing you do when you get a new calendar or a schedule book?
A. I write down all my plans. Until almost 2 years ago I kept a notebook where I used to write notes for when I talked about situations during interviews. But I don't keep it now.
Q. What's the most important day in a year?
A. Birthday. Because it's day you were born.
Q. How would you describe Arashi in a word? It's often said that they're sparkling.
A. Really (laugh)? If you can see us sparkling temporaly, a funny atmosphere could be Arashi. But for me we are "worthlessness". We could do earnestly the worthless things of our late night tv shows.
Q. What kind of presence are the other members for you?
A. Ono is a senpai I respect. Saying a thing or another, I have esteem for him. Aiba gives me energy. Talking with him he makes me cackling on my side, and I get energy. Nino, making me into something like a fingered character, expanded my range of characters. Matsujun's strong character becomes a stimulus. Even in "West side story" he has a way of make you feel a meaning, "the one of Matsumoto Jun", in Bernard role.
Q. If you had to describe you inside Arashi by using a kanji character?
A. "Yudaneru" (委, it means "entrust". ndTranslator). I often manage the MCs, I'm told that I gather all together, but, honestly, I only manage them in a way of giving all a chance for talking.
Q. What's the compliment that makes you the happiest?
A. I was told it for the first time when they let me casting for volleyball: "Lately, there's no day we can't see you on television". When I'm told things like "I liked that interview" or "I liked that drama", they're just personal opinions, but these words are the reality for those people, so I was happy.
Q. What did you find funny lately?
A. My work is fun! If you think that I crossed the sea on a block of ice, and in my work as a news caster I can meet a lot of people I wouldn't normally meet and see things I wouldn't normally see. Recently I went to Korea for a coverage about their presidential elections and I had fun talking with University students of my same age. Since a lot of time I've been impressed by the words of a rapper called Shing02 saying: "Rather then people of your same culture but different generations, it's better to concentrate on people of your same generation from different cultures". And it's what I'm doing now with my work.

A. If you have, please let me know (laugh). Has everyone said like this? When we have to get off the elevator, push the "open" button and let her get off first. I can only think to these kind of things.
Q. When do you are seduced by a girl?
A. When she suddenly touches my hand and then lets go apologizing and saying: "Ah, I'm sorry". And I think: "Was it a trick or accidentally?!" (laugh).
Q. In which moments might you fall in love?
A. For me it's thinking she's good as a person, as I'd fall in love for the first time there's no need to be any particular reason for it. Then, when someone makes you realize something you didn't even noticed by saying: "You're unexpectedly something", it becomes an entrance when you start thinking: "Why they're looking at me this much?".
Q. What are the two things that support you?
A. "All the people around me and experiences". My family, friends, other members, colleagues, they all support me; and all the experiences, both good and bad ones, have made the person I'm today.
Q. Forecast 3 big Sakurai's news for this year.
A. 1) I'm going to film "Yattaman". It's fun to be able to work with Miike Takahashi. 2) I want to do something new in my work as a news caster. 3) Talking of Arashi, a tour bigger than last year's. I don't want to decide how big the place should be or how many people there will be, but it would be great to be able to do a bigger tour.
