So in that regard, I can say that modern germany rock with its 230 clubs that are open during the night!!! And Who can forget the Qlimax event!!! Bigest Hard Techno Rave of the planet. This event Holds the world record for the biggest Rave!!! Basicly all of Germany in the streets. I actually prefere Trance, so. ya.

I live in Germany and was born there :P.. I'm some kind of full-german ^^.. hmm I like it but can't stand these politic shit.. they never get some solutions... always makes shit ~~ .. but i think it is in every country the same :P
And for all the Americans( I've heart from someone that they really think we are like in the middle-age): we have electricity.. NO, Hitler is not anymore (yeah:D).. and bavaria is IN Germany... We are not like wearing leather pants all the time and trinking beer ._.
But I still want to stay here :)

For the history: after 1960 the wall between eastern and western germany was built( i think it was 1962.. ) and in 1989 germany got one state =)
some basics: hello= hallo ; how are you = wie geht es dir
etc =) you pronounce it like you write it... O_O
If you want to go to Germany , I would prefer Hamburg or Munich or Frankfurt or Berlin.. great cities!

I have never been to Germany, and am never likely to go there now. I have studied German, and practise it whenever I meet a German person, however it is very rusty.

^They started constructing the Berlin Wall in 1958 and it took several years, so it wasn't completed till 1962. It was torn down in 1989 as you said. It (the wall and divided Germany) lasted a whole generation.

Gutten Tag zum alle!
Sorry bout that. I took three years of German in high school, went to Berlin, Munich, Frankfort, Colon, Nurnberg, and stopped all over the place in between. I'm also mostly of German heritage so I suppose it makes sense in the end.

I don't know how many of you watch the good old fashioned Fußeball (soccer), but I was very disappointed at the loss of Germany in the World Cup . Who else shares these sentiments?

I am in no way doubting your freedom of speech, just remember that.

I will agree with you that Germany is not an evil country and has been on bad standings in the eyes of most Americans. However, unlike most, I do know about the amount of work Germany has put forth in the last few years to make amens. I will also agree that in the goal that Hitler and the Nazi party had was a good one, but the means in which they tried to reach that gaol were and always is in the wrong.

Also Hitler didn't take on too many country's, he challenged too many. When he started to move from Germany into other country's, he challenged all the country's in the UN as declared by the treaty of Versi.

Try to learn some more history before ranting about it.

actually they only eat a lot at lunch. breakfast is small, usually cereal or bread and meat/cheese. Dinner is also small in comparison to their lunch. However, they do tend to eat between meals as well. Its something I do anyways so I didn't notice as much when I was there, but it happens.

no,not at all.but there are places where you could get into trouble if you you are asian
or african looking, but there is not more discrimination than in every other country.

See, that's strange because... Hitler adopted the entire concept of "Aryans" from the Hindu culture... not to mention the swastika from buddhism.

&&Germany seems to be quite a pretty place. I want to go there some day.
