Tag!

I live in Germany, as kyu correctly said. I've been living in Duesseldorf for the last 3 years, and have been learning German for around 5 years.
I think Germany is a really cool place!
Duesseldorf claims the "largest Japanese population in a single town outside of Japan", which is really cool, cause there's a Japanese shoping street for getting Japanese food, manga, J-rock... almost anything want. It is a little expensive though.

If anyone wants to PM me in German I am more than willing to try out my terrible grammar upon them.

woah really? cause here in brazil there's a whole state crowded with japanese, actually known as the biggest japanese community outside japan, and there's a city that also claims as the city with the biggest japanese community outside japan. lol i guess people all over the world want to be the top, uh?

As for germany, I have studied german for one year and stopped because I was getting too stressed with school. However I'd like to contiune my studies soon. I've never been to germany but I really want to go there and visit other musical places like austria as well. And this guy I know is going to Japan through germany >.< ahhh I want to go too....

hey that pic is quite interesting. litter goes to the trash can, so the nazi are litter? I actually think the nazi had a good purpose for their own kind, and it was based in principles intelectuals actually wrote about. Maybe it was just too much self confidence that brought hitler down, or it's a history thing, a matter of time, or were the 'world ideals' that changed; anyway, every great empire ended up in pieces. remember the rome empire?

oh, by the way, did you guys know that this nazi symbol thingy i don't know how to call in english is actually a symbol for temples in Japan? I was quite surprised at first, since when I went to Japan last year the tourist map was full of these symbols (i think putting those in tourist maps might scare some foreigners away -__-"). And then my mother explained me that the nazi took that symbol for them. Since Germany and Japan were quite friends during the second war I guess they got to mix their cultures a bit. Who knows what that symbol meaned 3000 years ago?

It's the swastika actually. Hitler adopted it for as the symbol of the Nazis while the Japanese use it as it has been, in history, used as the Buddhist symbol. There wasn't really mixing of the cultures since the Nazi party was formed in 1920 and from my history books, Japan only joined arms with Germany in the Axis powers after the Third Reich was established in 1933 (and after the Swastika symbol has been chosen).

I've been to Germany to attend the 2003 International Student Week in Ilmenau. I will never forget my experience there. I was able to endeavor places in Thuringia (Weimar) along Erfurt, Ilmenau and the likes. Been to Kaiserslautern too and Frankfurt. Aahhh ... such a very good place. Wanna go back there.

I live in The Netherlands, so Germany is my neighboring country. I've been to Germany several times and speak a little german too. It's a nice country, and I really love Berlin. Though I really don't like typical german food.
