wow so many üppl talking about germany...
i live in austria and i have been several times in germany..
and i can say a very high percentage of germany's inhabitants
are jerks. no offence but it seems to be that a lot of german ppl
whine about everything, and once they started whining about something
it will take a half eternity... in the end you really think the whole wolrd is shitty
because he/she says so...
but there are also cool things about germany,... but i don'T know any...
and one of the worst things about germany is their taste of music....
i admit that there a re some exceptions among the terrible acoustic
polutioning german musicians, if a band like Tokio Hotel or Modern Talking
get popular..... i mean there must be something wrong in germany?!??!

oh yes i know something i like about germany:
the literature is very good.

When I read this Topic , always people write about the peoples in countries and how they are... For me a human is a human, it doesn't count where they from...
You can't say: "ohh German people they are so.. and so... and...and..." or for other countries... Not all people are the same in one country... Germany has ignorant, nice, evil, intelligent etc people.. like all countries have! .. So plz stop this sh*** about how the people are... every human are unique...

@amka: Not all german people listen to Tokio Hotel or Modern Talkin ~_~ and not all people are pessimistic... ://

Well buddy I sent you mail, so I wont bug the people with my long reply. Just make it shorter, until majority of Americans will not stop supporting the war and invading other lands in name of security with hidden agenda of oil and profit....then I
have to call them ignorant.
I wish you stood to defend the humanity and not blindly love to defend your country. This attitude of yours wont change the image of America, you are young and bright so use your wisdom to look beyond america and see how world is hurting because of selfish american foreign policies. Stand for humanity and change the american mean policies towards the world....I tell you, people would love americans, just they (americans) need to educate themselves to respect the humanity and mother nature, as only looking to rule the world by invading other lands and defending themselves BLINDLY wont make the world your friend. Education at higher level does make you human, you are better human when you know that beyond the america, people are also human-beings.

SeraphAlford wrote:

American’s are ignorant, eh? Tell that to Bill Gates, dude! Judging by that post, Saa, I’d say you’re a bigot. In my opinion bigots are the most ignorant people on the world. Anyway, Americans do not have as high an education program as Germany or some other countries, however that does not mean that -every- American is ignorant.

You should learn to be prudent and discrete. You’re welcome to that opinion, however much it clashes with everything I stand for, but please in the future find a more polite way to make your racist remarks.

Also, chew on this my dear friend: I’m an American. I spent half of my life and education in Germany. I speak the tongue, and love the culture. My fondest memories are in Germany. Am I therefore ignorant? No, actually being that my parents make a decent deal of money I’ve been blessed with a rather remarkable education that almost certainly dwarfs your own. Of course this is not necessarily so, but I am assuming it since you come off (though I don’t claim to know you enough to title you) as a egotistical, racist, child.

Also, Americans has a capital A. If you are going to call people ignorant you might want to watch your own grammar, or else you may appear to be somewhat hypocritical. Something else to note is this: American’s education system is hurting not because American’s are naturally inferior in intellect than other people. (Which is an absurd and flatly stupid assumption, especially when you consider that American citizens reign from all sorts of blood lines. I’m 40% German, 20% Scottish, and a mix of a few others.)

Also you contradict yourself bluntly. Blunders like this are not good for making yourself look educated, as you apparently were trying to do. (For only a fool would call somebody ignorant if he himself was ignorant. After all, who would tell his brother to remove a speck of saw-dust from his eye, when this person himself has a log in his own. {Incase you don’t know that’s a quote from the bible})

You said, “they do not support any war…” and then went on to say, “And fight for peace!” If they are not supporters of any war they aren’t fighting for anything at all, not even peace.

You are right. If one were to generalize the German philosophies they could say Germans struggle to keep the environments clean. In fact you get fined if you don’t recycle. A clash that I had with several German friends while in Germany was that they said “American’s are jading our sole system! They are killing our planet.” Naturally I had a similar argument as place here before you. Unfortunately I was much younger then; moreover, I was myself at lack of tact.

I don’t know from where you reign, but if this attitude you have is common where you live you should watch which nations you call ignorant! Also bear in mind, American citizens are English, they are German, they are Japanese, Chinese, Hispanic. To call Americans ignorant is to, inevitably, suggest that all these races are ignorant. Or that stepping onto American shores automatically strips individuals of their knowledge. Well, it’s not worth my time to start a childish quarrel on the internet, so here’s my opinion on this. I’ll say no more. Enjoy your life, and just so you get this I am sending you a copy of it through messaging.

Also! For a random assortment of other people here: Germany is a great nation and I love her dearly. Yes, there are many aspects to Germany’s social structure, economics, and general governing that are (in my opinion) better than some things that can be found in America’s. However, this is true both ways. ‘

American’s are not all arrogant. A common philosophy in America is that we are great Human beings, but not better than everyone else. Where as some philosophies (such as mine, as a non-denominational Christian.) Suggest people should lower themselves and be equal on a low level. What is often considered the “American philosophy” (I hate that term since there is no central philosophy, but rather a motley assortment of wildly varying ideologies.) Says that we are all equal on a high level. That Human’s should rise up and be equally great, rather than equally low.

America has had a rough past, but what people forget is that America is not the first place to hold slaves. Servile labor has served as a pillar for many nations that still stand today. The difference is that the American’s did it in a scale that is larger than most other nations have seen, and also that it was more recent.

One final thing is this: America is passing from one phase to another right now. There was a time when the masses were all for jumping into a war to happily defend our freedom. They were mostly sexists and racist, this is the horror of America’s past. (No worse than Nazi’s eh? {That’s something I hate. Some people here in America have a tendency to call me Nazi just because I am more German than anything else, that -is- in my opinion highly ignorant.}) Now more pacifist philosophies are being taught, and feminists are struggling to equalize women. Personally I am for the new age mostly, but we are still in an overlapping generation. Please don’t judge Americans to hardly about what may come off as a paradoxical or even hypocritical outlook on life.

Srry if I offended anyone.

I'll tell you whats good about germany: THE CHOCOLATE! whenever we're visiting our relatives in the U.S. we're bringing like 2 suitcases of chocolate for them! In return I get lots of Ahoj and Oreo cookies from them when they visit here! If only politicians would do the same, there'd be no war! Think about it! Also someone asked which cities are worth visiting, theres only 2: Hamburg and Berlin. I prefer Hamburg cause I live there. Berlin is bigger, not necessarily better. Plus, people in Hamburg are smarter. But then again, people in Berlin are friendlier. Hamburg is prettier...you choose...

hey, I didn't say that! I was trying to be suggestive, pretending to be neutral and all, of course Hamburg is ichiban, as the japanese would say (I hope)!
If you're going to get drunk, do it in Hamburg, there's a whole quarter serving that purpose, I should know!

Oh yes Berlin is beautiful but less jobs. Hamburg is also a good place, I love that city, but I also like Köln, Düsseldorf and Heidelberg...
Do you know any good asian restaurant in Hamburg, especially Korean? I am dying to try Korean food :-) I am looking for original Korean restaurant to get the original Korean taste....not the one made by Germans, Chinese or Vietnamese :-).

The problem is, I can't really distinguish japanese, vietnamese, chinese, taiwanese etc restaurants, which is partly because a lot of vietnamese people run chinese restaurants and lots of koreans are working undercover in japanese restaurants etc.. But in my quarter thers a restaurant famous for its asian cuisine called Man Wah( does that sound korean to you?). If not, I can only recommend a restaurant called something like "asia bok"(theres actually 2-3 of them) which are all run by a Korean family and i know that for sure cause my mother is friends with them.
