In the beginning I felt sorry for them, but once it crossed a certain layer of stupidity I started cheering for the guy.

Exactly, that was my main problem with it, otherwise I probably would have loved the series, it was just too abnormal, and became absurd, which is why I ended up cheering for the dude, I mean, if everyone is that senseless then who can blame you. (Note. I would never to that to ladies in real life, but then again, they are no where near the level of stupidity as the girls in School Days, honestly, If I were a chick I would have been offended by the main females idiocy.)
