Alright I have no famous warrior quotes but quotes that pertain to war.

Veni, vidi, vici (I came, I saw, I conquered.) - Julius Caesar (probably one of the most famous quotes of all time)

An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind. - Mahatma Ghandi (even though I'm pretty sure this is out of the bible or something- I know it because of Ghandi so I'll leave it as his quote.)

An eye for an eye was a biblical law in the old testament, it doesn't say anything about making the world blind that was Ghandi's point. That section of the bible lays out the "laws of retribution".

This is it in it's entirety:

If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

When a slave-owner strikes the eye of a male or female slave, destroying it, the owner shall let the slave go, a free person, to compensate for the eye. If the owner knocks out a tooth of a male or female slave, the slave shall be let go, a free person, to compensate for the tooth. Exodus 21:23-21:27

yeah fizz that's the Talion law. before the New Testament

I brought this up in another group and I figured I might as well note it here. I do not claim to possess great wisdom or anything, but I do find these words of wisdom.

As I once said to a friend: [quote copyrighted; Intellectual Property of Sean Osborn.]

A wise person judges one not for their appearance or background, but rather for their actions and decisions alone.

This is kinda a fancy and more eloquent way of saying don't judge a book by its cover. I like it.

Thank you. Well I personally do not like the quote of "don't judge a book by it's cover" since it is vague, metaphorical, and is often misunderstood. I love metaphors, but that quote is wisdom that falls upon deaf ears many times.

I would love it any other way yet mine is specific and easier to understand as it is right to the point.

... Time to lighten the mood with some Dr. Seuss Quotes!

Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple. -Dr. Seuss

And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed. -Dr.Seuss

So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads. -Dr. Seuss

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose. -Dr. Seuss

sometimes I wonder...was Dr. Seuss really made for kids?

I like these from Douglas Adams the author of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy...

There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

You live and learn. At any rate, you live.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

silver the first part of your quotations reminds me of a short story by V. Nabokov - "Ultima Thule" a guy who by mistake discovers the secret of the Univers, such a simple thing that he almost has a shock and this mental state of his is always expressed through a hysterical laughter. when he finally decides to reveal the secrect of the Universe...he dies

also the idea of created Universe .... also the chaos is a created state for the Universe to exists.......anyway i enjoyed reading ur post

"Never Give Up!!!!!" This quote is important because if everyone gives up all the time... nothing will get accomplished.

Some thought provoking Zen:

Seclude the mind, not the movements,
remain living in the world of man.
Lack a tree? Plant a sapling.
Without a mountain? Look at a picture.
Living amidst clamor I am not flustered;
true meaning is found in this.

Ch'iao-jan (734-c.792)

Four and fifty years
I've hung the sky with stars.
Now I leap through--
what shattering!

Dogen (1200-1253)

In this world of dreams,
drifting off still more;
and once again speaking
and dreaming of dreams.
Just let it be.

Ryokan (1757-1831)

Be soft in your practice. Think of the method as a fine silvery stream, not a raging waterfall. Follow the stream, have faith in its course. It will go its own way, meandering here, trickling there. It will find the grooves, the cracks, the crevices. Just follow it. Never let it out of you sight. It will take you.

There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time."
