I have unlimited texting and internet. The only thing that isn't unlimited is minutes on my phone.

I didn't realize unlimited data still existed... Verizon caps it at 2GB

I would hope so being it's 2013! Texting is considered the most basic option to a phone plan.

I find that most people can't even take advantage of unlimited data even when trying.

Seriously, though... I didn't know you could NOT have unlimited texting. On a plan, that is... I suppose if you're pay-as-you-go it's a realistic thing.

I was talking about internet/streaming content. Verizon and I believe AT&T now caps that space at 2GB, used to be unlimited. They say it's really hard to hit that cap... but we know that's bullshit. It's more like 2-4 hours of video streaming

The problem with unlimited data is something called "throttling" that a lot of companies do. There is a soft cap of data that they don't tell you about, and then after you go over that, they slow your speed down to a crawl.
I learned about that when I worked for T-Mobile, and I always thought it was terrible.

I was more speaking in regards to people who have smart phones as status symbols and probably use 10 MB a month.

This I did not know... and it makes sense. Cause the new cap on data came with the upgrade to "4G LTE"
Thanks for that bit of knowledge bud

I like to think there is something good that came out of my short customer service stint.
Cell providers are a sneaky lot.
