I don't care what the guy was ( Gay, straight, fat, ugly, good looking ---whatever) a murder is a murder. Personally I don't like the judge's decision (Think of me as cruel ---whatever), I prefer an eye for an eye. It's not an accident, he isn't innocent, he doesn't have any mental illness, he was full conscious of his actions. He deserves it. And if you think it's unfair, then is it fair to kill a young kid?

....you know I never get this...some 11 year old black kid accidentally kills his friend while practicing wrestling move on a trampoline and he's labeled a monster and charged as an adult and nobody so much as blinks about it...some gay white kid intentionally kills another gay kid and people get up in arms about him being prosecuted as an adult...ludicrous

The boy wasn't gay, the kid he killed was. That's why he killed him.

Anyway, not only do I think that kid deserves this for the hideous hate crime, but I believe any person who intentionally kills someone else should be tried and convicted as an adult. Violence and murder are never an answer to anything.

That's what I am saying... they want the kid tried as a juvie when he should be charged an adult... the judge says he will be charged as an adult but they still want him tried as a kid

I see, you were talking about which court will try. Actually, what I was saying was the child should go to juvenile prison till he's 18. When he turns legal, then he can go to adult prison. I don't know how the the trial will go though. (I mean, to get a sentence like that)

I don't know how the laws go in the child's country so I can't exactly defend my answer. (We have different laws here, if a juvenile, must be tried as a juvenile, whatever the crime. At least, that's what I remember.)

Either way, he should go to prison. Just not to adult prison when he's not yet legal. (That was my point and not the whole which court will try.)

But if what you wrote is the law in their country., and basing on it, the juvenile court can't hold trial regarding homicide (which is by the way different from murder but I guess it rides the same boat) then I guess the judge is right to try him as an adult.

But the question was is it unfair? And I retain my answer. Juvenile prison till he reaches legal age. (for it to be fair) I think it's unfair for a child his age to go to adult prison. Even if he did murder someone for no apparent reason and even if he is in the right state of his mind.

But I am basing my answer on the laws of my country. (In what i was taught and what I know and how I feel) so if you feel different, I won't sway you. If you feel strongly that he should be tried in adult court/prison then that's your opinion.
