Well thats when anti virus softwares comes along...imagine Norton Antivirus software for people with cyberbrain. Not only that, even Firewalls can be installed, spywares and other network solutions. The possibilities are endless..major companies like Fujitsu and Cisco would really benefit from this.

A cyberbrain in Real Drive is the same as in Ghost in the Shell. The brain isn't uploaded, it's augmented with cybernetics then encased to protect it and make it modular.

Yes, I would! Just imagine the possibilitys. You could learn everything in a few seconds. Just download the software and you can pilot a spaceshuttle or perform a brainsurgery.

Or hack the eyes of a bird(also with a cyberbrain installed by nanobots) and watch the world from above.

Dont think you know that much about computers do you? Norton Antivirus isnt really that reliable. it causes just as much problems as it help fixes.

Ok..seriously, I was just stating an example. So what if its unreliable on the pc..this is cyberbrain we're talkin about and Norton happens just to be my example. Obviously they would make an effective anti-virus software for people with cyberbrain. And no, I dont work for Norton.

a million times 'NO'.... even antiviruses&firewalls&antispywares aren't adequate these days. Viruses and spywares spawn x times every day.. it's impossible to be 'safe and free'. And i don't want to be mind/thought-raped thank you very much. Will be nice to be able to download other ppl's memories though.... i can only think of ways to misuse this

It's all up to the user to determine the adequacy of your anti-virus. It merely helps prevent it. Rule #1: never completely rely on anything but yourself.

As it's obvious in RD, even in that high-tech surrounding u can still have a normal life without a cyberbrain - there are terminals, peripherals invented to keep u in touch with the cybersociety... And if it would be like in RD - u'd lose contact with the nature... I myself love spending time in the wild - swimming, trekking, mountain-climbing, ice-climbing, camping, skiing, sailing, baloon-flying...i tried it all and more, so i couldn't imagine not being able to feel it completely...

Also, i wouldn't like being completely dependable on some processor/network/technology since every computer/machine is only as perfect as its creator...and ppl are imperfect, aren't we?
