I'm Korean and I used to date only Asians but thanks to someone very special I've seen the light. She keeps telling me that she is an incredible catch so it must be true right? Anyways I think the problem is Asian guys in general tend to be more reserved and shy around girls they are interested in so they are less apt to attempt to date someone as overtly as their non-Asian counterparts. Even with this girl, she ended up asking me what was going on and I fessed up then BAM we're dating.

being an asian girl....i used to date mostly asian guys. my sister tho has commented recently that i go thru phases of nationality in attracting guys....like 4 example....in one episode of my life i had filipino boys after me at the same time.....then another time i had black guys after me at the same time as well....now at present i hav digressed according to that youtube video coz i attract asian (pakistani&indian) guys in uni @ d same time i didn't even realize...but to get back on topic, black dudes are suave and smooth operators...they have more confidence that's why they get the girls. When the movie asked what brings white guys and asian girls together, I couldn't think of anything immediately. I laughed at the hair and butt part, because that is a small niche audience among the ladies! I have noticed that American (typically white) girls swoon over western, but foriegn, guys (english, australlian, spanish). Also, I've noticed that there are a lot more white guy / latina couples than the other way around, but the disparity isn't as large as asian guy / white girl. But the video was totally correct in saying that Indian (and Middle Eastern) ethnic groups rarely mix outside of themselves.

As for the answer to the movie's question, along with confidence, I think that white guys are goofier on average and bigger wusses. And this is somehow read as attractive. Maybe there is more pride and family pressure with asian guys, and white guys are a means of escape. But I know a lot of white americans who feel like they have no cultural identity, so they aren't squeamish about mixing it up because they don't have anything to lose.

I've come close to dating girls of other nationalities, but without confidence, even white guys are left high and dry!
