I know the title seems a bit negative and might throw some people off but this is a thread where we can discuss our dislikes about certain aspects of J-rock. To be even more clear for you guys, you can post your dislikes of certain fandoms/fan bases, things your favourite bands have done (ex:songs, albums, concerts, decisions, etc), basically things that annoy you lol. You can be as open as you want but remember to keep it civilized, and for those who are easily offended please dont flame people for whatever they say :3

I was actually nervous to start this thread because of the fear of getting severly flamed but we'll see what happens..

What I dont like...i have a bigger list though but heres a couple:

-I love X Japan but I really dont like Yoshiki's drum and piano solos *dodges throwing daggers*, they're just so long and sometimes it feels like hes just banging on the piano keys *cough* Art of Life *cough*

-I also do not like hide's fangirls particularly the ones who are constantly grieving for his death...yesh its sad but its just annoying having to read through comments "ZOMG HIDE R.I.P WE WILL REMEMBER HIM FOREVERMORE *SOBS*"...please just remember him for contributions and his amazing music =), no need to bring up his death all the time

-I hate how j-rock bands forget about Canada =( they never come here, we're RGIHT beside the US ;___; whyyy

Hmm... Things that I don't like:

-I also don't like how they never come to Canada
-I seriously don't like how fans will write really weird fanfics about certain jrockers (like when they make certain members a couple or something. It bugs me...)
-umm... I don't like the fangirls >__>
-I don't like it when fans scream at inappropriate parts during some concerts i've watched (e.g. @ JRock revolution
I was watching a clip and you could BARELY hear Miyavi speaking )
-I'm not too fond of the kind of music Diru has made lately, but I'm still a fan. It's just the MoaB album was not my kind of music o_o. Too much screaming for me
-I REALLY didn't like how X Japan didn't play the songs hide composed when they performed at the hide Memorial Summit. I was looking forward to hearing "Joker", "Celebration", and "Scars"
-I don't like when people mix up hide and HYDE's names XD. I'll be on YouTube and I always find comments like "WHAT?!?! HYDE DIED??!" .. just.. wow XD

That's all for now. I'll probably be adding more later.

Yaoi fanfics (and yaoi in general).
Elitists that rant and rave when people don't include the period after heidi, the comma after Kagrra, heaven forbid someone capitalize's hide's name, etc
Fans that act as though I'm the spawn of Satan for not obsessing over the same bands/artists they like.
Miyavi's hair.
80s/90s VK hair.
Companies/distributors/etc that assume I enjoy anime.
Anyone that claims to be a reincarnation of hide.
People that cry on the anniversary of hide's death even though they are too young to actually remember what he was like when he was alive.
People that blatantly refuse to listen to mainstream bands and instead opt for only the indie bands (most of which are absolute crap because they can't afford to have a decent producer).
When people assume that, since I like Japanese bands, I must be obsessed with Dir en grey.
12 year old girls that are absolutely convinced they're going to marry so-and-so.
People who act like Bou is a god.
BUCK-TICK's cowboy phase.
YOSHIKI is a huge drama queen & needs to stop cashing in on hide's death.
While I'm on the subject of X Japan, I also cannot stand people that treat Toshi like he's a serial killer.
People that assume I'm fat because I like Jrock.
Younger fans that avoid bands like BUCK-TICK because they're 'old.'

I've even come across a person on YouTube saying that they wished Toshi died instead of hide because it was supposedly all his fault.... . I hate those sorts of comments =__=

P.S. @ loikta: You have a very good list indeed

yes. I don't even like An Cafe and yet I felt the need to defend Yuuki. Poor guy.

:) Thank you, madam~

& that's horrible! On a similar note, I was once friends with a girl who originally thought hide & Hyde were the same person and when she realized they're two separate people/hide died, she proclaimed that Hyde should have died instead.

I really don't understand people sometimes.

He's delicious.

& I can honestly say I've never come across a little girl that wanted to marry him. In fact, as I mentioned, they tend to avoid bands from the 80s/early 90s because they're not 20 years old.

haha its ok for you to say because your actually an age where he can marry you, and
I know a perfect example of that no one on here really seems to listen to The Alfee.

I also agree with lokita having a good list, so many things she already mentioned.

In addition, I do not like/am annoyed by:
-some (way too many) jrock fans in my country. Otherwise np, but whenever there's a jrock band coming to perform... ayayaaa. Suddenly obsessing over a band and trying to get in the front row becomes more important than your health or staying alive or giving a rat's ass about the people around you. Although I guess things should have improved now after the new queuing-system - I don't know whether it's been working or not.
-how all the bands I'd want to see live (with the exception of mucc) are just the ones that won't come here
-how many bands like to release 495874985 different versions of an album or a single
-fans that claim to love a band and could afford to support them but still don't even intend to buy one CD
-D's Dearest you -getup. I love the band to bits but that style was just one huge mess and ...ugh. x__x Plus Ruiza's hairdo was one of the craziest I've ever seen.
-how Yoshihiko (heidi) uses waaaaay too much of his err... how should I call it... pressing vocals on the new songs on the Innocence album. You've got a great voice, Yoshi, and it's a pretty versatile one, too. So why must you try to bombard my ears every chance you get? -__-"
-what seems to be the result of the whole "kawaii-culture" penetrating jrock -> oshare kei. There's so far only one band I know that I'll make an exception for concerning their music (and their music only). But otherwise... oh, lord. I mean no offence to the bands or their fans. It's just that so many things I've had a low tolerance for since birth all seem to have one big party together in o-kei.

I might come and add more things later.

Btw, this is very refreshing. XD Thank you for making the topic!

Lol, that'd be interesting. He's old enough to be my dad.

The Alfee are incredible! One of my all-time favorite older bands that no one seems to know about is Tulip. Granted, they're a Jpop group rather than rock, but they're still wonderful.

:| Why can't bands realize that some of their fans happen to be broke college kids who aren't able to buy 6 different versions of one single?

Aww thank you, indeed its very refreshing to let all these things out hahaha. I agree with you about bands releasing a billion versions of one song..so annoying O__O. Hmm im somewhat of a fan of oshare-kei...but sometimes it kills my eyes...so many blinding colours and cute-ness X____x
