I've got a Fender Stratocaster Mexico (ie. the cheaper one), I love the sound. It is my dream guitar, though I would like to put a split humbucker on the bridge pickup in order that it can emulate the screamy gibson sound, but still have the option of reverting to one pickup to retain the strat sound.
No one else makes guitars in this colour either (midnight wine) http://www.gear4music.com/pimages/0134600575.jpg

ur ruining a strat if u put a Gibby pickup. ur cutting a big chunk of wood just to put those humbuckers. i suggest u try looking at dimarzio single coil pick ups.

edit: if u really want midnight wine color, check your guitar custom shop.

One problem with single coil "noise reducing" pickups - you can't regain the original sound at all, though, yeah, DiMarzio do make good pick ups (Steve Vai uses them)

@ Frostmore - I like hide's guitars, I like the crystal version the most, though they're not really terribly good instruments, just good to look at.
