Ooooh I like the manga more than the light novel I guess because there's a huge difference between walls of text and pictures

I dont like the manga's artwork, its too kiddy for my taste.

But about the light novel, it really is worth the read. With what has been released so far here are the differences between it and the anime: (yea I know its a wall, but think of it as practice to read the novel!)

For season one:
The count Mott situation with Siesta never took place.
The familiar exhibition never took place
The love potion arc wasnt suppose to happen tell after the Lexington ship crashing (this includes the water spirit oath and Tabitha's secret; also noted is that the reason behind Louise drinking the potion was due to the Sailor uniform Saito gave to Siesta, NOT the bath part)
The Fairy Inn story happened after Lexington as well
The original reason for going to the Fairy Inn was actually because Henreitta wanted to know what the commoners opinion of the kingdom and how they were dueing due to the Albion situation after the Lexington problem (It wasnt suppose to be about investigating nobles)
Wardes originally lost his left hand to Saito in there battle at Newcastle
Wardes was shot down by Saito's Zero and was saved by Fought instead of being caught in Louise's Explosion void magic

MAJOR PLOT ERRORS:
Cromwell was originally never on the Lexington when they invaded and than later lost his life in season two (Cromwell was the new emporor of Albion which makes him kinda important to the plot)
The reason Cromwell took over Albion and than went after Trysting was because his ultimate goal (which was never said in the anime but was said in the novel) was to take over the nations and unite them in order to go to the holy land that was taken from the humans by the Elf's (I think they should have said something to this as Elf's are getting more important now, but Siesta's remark about them asking if it was a Fairy Tale makes me worried about this plot hole)
The whole twin moons opening a path to Saito's world was never true in the novel, Saito only went in the Zero in order to stop the Lexington and saves Siesta.

Season Two:
Saito was originally rewarded with money from Henreitta for having destroyed the Lexington this money was what he used to buy the Sailor uniform for Siesta (Thinking about it logically in the anime, where did Saito get the money to buy them originally? Louise wouldnt give him money and his job is being her dog) Also noted he bought 3 sailor uniforms, one was taking by Geisa who gave one to Monmon (hate her name) that she showed off in class. The other went to the fat guy with blonde hair and the owl familiar, this was how Louise learned of Siesta getting one and starting the whole love potion problem in the novel.
During the love potion arc (really wish they had done this in the anime) Louise gives Saito about 10 hicky marks on his neck and chest and forced him to give her one, this was left out of the anime.
Louise sister Cat when she visits him in his room at Louise's house. Tells Saito that he can become a noble, the way one becomes a noble is when they swear loyality to protect the queen (in which case he does that in season 3), Cat tells Saito this because as it stood, Saito being a commoner could never be with Louise for real in the eyes of society so Cat wants Saito to become a noble and raise in ranking so that he could marry Louise.
When Louise went to visit Saito in the night when she was at her house, she originally finds Siesta (drunk) and Saito (asleep/drunk). Seista talks down on Louise and calls her a board which sends her away crying.
When Saito was guarding Henreitta the scene where she had her chest exposed and was kissing Saito when the guards burst in. This tech was exactly the same but they cut the scene short in that Henreitta continues to kiss Saito and starts to get hot and heavy for him, even asking him to be her lover (no lie). Course Saito didnt have the balls to follow thru with it.. pity

Important information to some unanswered questions:
Louise and void magic-
Def says this in the novel, the reason why Louise couldnt use void magic explosion again was because she used up all her magic, Louise further explains that mages can only use a certain amount of spells a day and when they sleep there will power goes back up (for easy rpg sake lets call it mp) Say a mage has 100 MP and they are a line mage, each line spell they cast (ex. Fire-Fire) costs 50 MP. Meaning they can only use that spell 2 times a day before they run out of power. When they upgrade to a Triangle mage the original line spell (Fire-Fire) costs only 25 MP in which they can use it 4 times a day and Triangle spells (ex. Fire-Fire-Earth) are the ones that cost 50 mp. Finally at square mage the original line spell can be used up to 8 times a day the Triangle can be used 4 times and the square spells 2 times. Fairly simple

How this all relates to Louise is that for Louise to use her most powerful spell Explosion (the big version) she needs a massive amount of downtime before she can cast it again, this time could take even a year before the next use. If you remember in ep. 1 of the 3rd season Ottoman said that 8 months had passed since the Albion war started and ended, meaning Louise had a bit over 8 months to recover her magic to use Explosion, this explains why she couldnt use it in season two but was able to use it in season three (sad thing is she just wasted her big guns now in the first episode)

In the novel, Louise and Saito do have feelings for each other, but they never own up to it and are always misunderstanding each other, Louise loves Saito but doesnt get why he flirts with the maid and Saito just thinks Louise sees him as a Familiar and nothing else.

Phew this was a fingerfull of explenations

Edit: Ah another important thing I remembered, in the novel Saito takes his laptop that was fixed already with him to Louise's world. But in the anime Saito hadnt gotten it fixed yet and he dropped it as he was sucked through the portal and left it in our world. (In the pictures of the novel the laptop plays an important role it seems)

I think ryuki_yuji was saying "die" to your thread. That's what ryuki_yuji would do if and when there's no more ZNT

I see.. so I suppose I'll read the light novels up to where they end, then I'll move on to the manga since I don't mind that it's "kiddy" Thanks for the info :D
