does being an anime freak effect your popularity?

Again, an OTHER option is always good. I'm not an anime freak. I don't actually watch it anymore. And I think being a "freak" of any kind would affect my popularity..so yeah, it does. XD

When I did watch it, people definitely judged me - some more blatantly than others. One day, I went to social studies class in junior high wearing a T-shirt with Haruko (FLCL) on the front and an old friend of mine pointed out that he knew who she was and liked her. We were working in a group with another guy and a bitch, and the bitch said very condescendingly, "That show's weird." He didn't say anything afterwards and I got pissed instead, but the point is, a lot of people will judge you on things they just don't understand -.- Don't let it bother you, because there ARE plenty who won't. You just have to learn where to look.
