I would get rid of the animals in the following order:

A Sheep, A Cow, A Monkey, A Lion, and lastly, the Horse. I'm thinking which animal benefits me the most though.

But.. according to this test, I'd give away basic needs second. I don't find myself doing that, 'cause otherwise I can't survive.. =.=

A Monkey - Your Children
A Sheep - Friendship
A Lion - Pride
A Cow - Basic Needs
A Horse - Your Passion

...I guess I'm not a very good person....................but I was just making it what was most useful....though I guess a lion should go first as not to kill the other animals.............And then the monkey for annoyance...sheep for lack of helpfulness....cow for food...and a horse for travel. Of course, I'll eat all these.

Bleh, I obviously don't wanna get eaten so - Lion

I could use the milk but it eats no food and probably die and I'll eat it. - Cow

If I happen to find some sort of town, I might use it to steal stuff (Abu, anyone?), but otherwise, it is useless so - Monkey

It would be a great pillow and comfort in the night but still useless, - Sheep

And of course, this baby can eat all those animals I threw away, and can help me reach my destination so, obviously last. And I had to let this thing go too, right? Well, since I probably don't have any money, I'll sell it and live comfortably wherever I went. - Horse

A Lion - Pride
A Monkey - Your Children
A Sheep - Friendship
A Cow - Basic Needs
A Horse - Your Passion

1. A Monkey - Your Children
2. A Cow - Basic Needs
3. A Sheep - Friendship
4. A Horse - Your Passion
5. A Lion - Pride

I am not sure about having Children o.O, well Im not into monkey. I think friendship is over basic need, team work is needed mostly, but it will take food resources. Still team work is needed to survive most of the time. I find that passion can be define into many stuff. It can lead you to your goal or its about you and someone, or strong feeling. I will use Passion to escape, and my morale would boost sometime. For Pride, if I fail then I fail and won't go any further. Strike and reach my goal or fail....

If I have to survive, flip Lion with Sheep

Fourth:hahaha~~~ Passion for what? (Horse, useless in the desert, but i need meat)
Fifth:give me grandchildren. >=3 (Monkey, they're plain awesome to just let go)

The stupidity in this test lies in its assumption that each animal represents a part of your desire. If you were doing this test in the practical manner I was, you would have known that non-domesticated animals like the Lion and Monkey would be of little use to you in the desert (The lion being more prone to devour you and your companions if hungry). And of what use would the monkey be? Food for the lion I suppose, since it would probably irritate the big cat the most. The connection between one's children and a mere monkey is absurd; one does not have the type of relationship one would have with monkeys that one has with one's own children and this test also fails to take into consideration that some may have certain aversions or fears of monkeys.

Coming to the sheep, an animal more suited to cooler climates, I can only assume that eventually the poor thing would die of heat exhaustion and eventually become food for the remaining lot of us. The cow would serve a similar purpose but the fact that it provides milk and therefore, the avoidance of thirst would be an added boon to keep it with you. Finally, the horse while seemingly useless would serve as a good mount for the journey: One cannot expect to ride a cow or sheep! And no, I have yet to see Lion cavalry.

-i need a cow for meat...
-why would i bring my children to the desert? and dont like monkeys, so bye-bye monkey
-i dont need whool in the desert, thx but no thx
-why should i have pride while i will be suffering so much in the desert
-and a horse can get me out of there faster , (no passion needed)

er....I think people are missing the point....

The animals have nothing to do with it...
They're symbolic....
You don't eat the animals...or have them help you...

It's about sacrifice...
In what order would you give up these things to survive...

Would you sacrifice your children or friends to save yourself....?
Would you rather die with your pride intact than do something that would damage it...?
Would you keep your basic needs while forsaking everything else you hold dear...?
Would you keep your friends or passion in the hope that they can keep you going...?

Here's mine:

1st - Pride(Lion)....when it's about survival, pride can only damage your chances
2nd - Friendship(Sheep)
3rd - Passion(Horse)...It wouldn't be long going after forsaking your friends
4th - Children(Monkey)...It's either me or them....and they won't survive without me...

That leaves me with - Cow(Basic Needs)
Basic Needs = Food, Water and Shelter...
The 3 things you need to survive in a desert...

Woohoo....I win...
Everyone else loses...
Purely because you didn't understand it...
