How to pimp your car specially with audio/music?
In this thread you can share you car audio system/set up. Moreover this is a general thread on car and audio so anything on it can be posted here.

Cables/capacitors/amp/tuners/players/speakers and box/is it worth spending? What is a good combination set up? Any suggestion? How should the following be like :Entry level set up? Minimalist set up? A good high db set up to pump up real big ass bass/ sub? Sing along thing at the back of the car or van?

all of those are pretty much non entry level... well the first maybe. It all depends on you and how much you have to work with. What kind of vehicle are you planning on doing this to? There's numerous ways to do it.

What I learned most about car audio, you can still get bang for your buck with some items as well as with how you structure your install. What I mean by that is, think of the vehicle as a COMPLETE enclosure (in a sense your vehicle is the speaker box that has several speakers inside of it, with the help of amplifiers to push the sound out). I hope this makes sense right now.

To go big you will be definately spending BIG. I recommend starting with several companies called Digital Designs, FI, RE, and Elemental Designs (I think they do subs). Those are some of the high end bass sub companies out there that no many people know about. As far as Amplifiers, I would look at Kicker, Digital Designs, Performance Technique, USA Amps, MMats... I forget most of them but research around.

If your still puzzled try a site called Realm of Excursion (ROE). They pretty much SPECIALIZE in audio, from how to's on making boxes, sub tests, head unit info, etc.

hope this helps you out.

If any of you actually want good quality car audio, go for a brand called "Focal".
They are top line car audio.

The ones that want just noise, are cheap, and people to look at you from 100m away, just buy 2+ clarion subs, and destroy your ears.

Personally i run a JL set up, not nearly as pricy as Focal, but still amazing quality.

I don't like messing with my car's audio system because adding even one extra speaker in the back seat can totally mess up your car's wheel weight ratio. But when I got my car I only had a CD player with no MP3 so I broke my rule and put in a CD/MP3 AM/FM stereo

I'm getting a full alpine setup (2x 10" M5's and 2x 12"s, D-class amp for those and an AB-class for the front speakers) for one reason and one reason only:

To Bump Beethoven, DeBussy, Mozart, Bach, Handel, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, and Liszt whenever some wannabe-gangster bitch tries thinking he's badass with his played-out hiphop mixes from Ryan Seacrest.

is that even possible?
to "bump" don't you need a bass tone in the song
I'm not sure if classical really has that with the exception of drums

Alpine 1000W Class D Mono MOSFET Amplifier with Adjustable Crossover = FTW

I like the sound that is driven by the MOSFET Amp

Bumping at first was just bass (Sound Pressure Levels) but nowadays it means just playing it extra loud so others can hear it.

And for the record, piano music as well as orchestrals all have some bass involved. The key is building an audio setup that enhances the SQL rather than SPL. If yo do it correctly, you have a setup that can easily outclass shitty bass-only songs.

I'm trying to go with the 5-series on everything. Best bang for the buck IMO.
