The population in Britain is utterly depressing. People live here for nothing much really. Britain will just be a place to walk around in, in twenty years time.

Britain is becoming a country of demons.

No one (okay, a percentage of the people) here seem not to appreciate the good points about Britain, nor to fully comprehend the utter insignificance of the bad points;

=> Great Britain is diverse, we have "immigrants", "illegals", "foreigners" what ever you want to call them, and hey! it's a great thing, it is only because of this that England has the open and accepting society that it does, with the Judges who will support newspapers rights to freedom of speech and a place reserved in its capital city for anyone to rant on about anything (Hyde Park Corner).

=> We are a world hub, following on from the above point, London is one of the business capitals of the world, and is attracting ever more banking/accountancy headquaters due to Britain's quirky private finance laws (i.e. Brits get great rates of interest compared to interest on goods)

=> Britain is socialist. This is the one point that people always seem to dislike (especially, in my experience, US Citizens). However, where else in the world can you get free treatment on a national health service, for Everyone? Where else is there such a strong system of social services in place to ensure that all members of the population are looked after?

=> We (the Brits) have a mind set which allows us to continue with life as normal through the strangest of mishaps. After 9/11, America litterally seemed to stop, whereas after the 7th of July bombings in London the Brits just kept on going, the Tube system got up and running quickly, people were treated efficiently.

=> There is a lively democracy in Britain, unlike some countries I could mention (*cough* USA *cough*) we have multiple strong parties and it is simple to start up a new party.

Other interesting points;

Britain is not always wet, I lived in part of Britain which was considerably drier than the area I live in now. We had heatwaves as well....

Of the non-caucasian members of the EU-Parliament, about half of them are from Britain alone.

Chavs exist everywhere! It was only after a label was stuck on them that people started to notice them. ("Asi's" in Germany are an equivalent)

i wouldn't mind visiting someday. getting tired of only being in the US
seems like a pretty place...in pictures

I used to live in the UK...

way different from the US, but isnt that obvious.
Personally I found it much more enjoyable, being the true
"different" one over there.

London was the place I frequented, but I did have some friends
in Bristol ( where I actually lived ).

Fun times, i miss it a lot... my girl and I will go back eventually.
