long distance relationships are difficult to maintain.
but with frequent visitation like during every sem break or so, it's possible to maintain it.
cos i've seen successful cases on my friend list. yupps.
go for it! XD

Well...in exactly a week, I will be moving 1300 miles from Florida to Wisconsin. As you might guess, I'm not too happy about it. I am leaving behind a boyfriend in Florida, and we do plan to stay together. I've never been in a real long distance relationship before (only in one where the guy lived 45 minutes away) and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about doing it, so I was just thinking about the topic in general.

My questions to you are:
- Have you ever been in a long distance relationship?
- How far away were you?
- What major problems did you face with it?
- Any upsides?
- How did you go about making things work?
- Did the relationship work?
- Why or why not?

For those who haven't been:
- Do you think you'd ever get in one?

Technically is it still a long distance relationship if it started out with the two of you together? I do not think you will be faced with the same problems as couples who are in a long distance relationship and have never met. Your's should be more stable *nods*

Eh... to answer the only question I can *chuckles* I've never been in a long distance relationship... well one and it was the same situation as your's >.> but the result wouldn't making you feel any better :\

My questions to you are:
- Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? Yes, and I'm still in one
- How far away were you? Like about 600 miles he lives in Phoenix and I live in Las Vegas
- What major problems did you face with it? the physical aspect!! not being able to kiss and hug and other good stuff
- Any upsides? seeing him and his face, the fact that I know he always makes me happy!!
- How did you go about making things work? he comes and sees me every month! we talk on the phone every night! and plus we have this chemistry together
- Did the relationship work? I'm still with him!
- Why or why not? one word CHEMISTRY

For those who haven't been:
- Do you think you'd ever get in one?

Other than, that he's going to try to move to Vegas so we can actually have a non long distance relationship! I really do care for him and he's the first guy that I'm with! He's such a great guy and it can definatly work with chemistry and with the sparks are there! But if he or she is not compatible then you're just wasting your time!!

My questions to you are:
- Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? Yes I have.
- How far away were you? I was in Florida and he was in MD.
- What major problems did you face with it? He was so hard to get incontact with....he wouldn't answer his phone...or return my emails.
- Any upsides? Not really....
- How did you go about making things work? I told him to make a myspace so he can see me and so we can communicate because he wasn't the "phone type"
- Did the relationship work? No.
- Why or why not? I found out he was cheating....I found out through myspace (of all the places)

For those who haven't been:
- Do you think you'd ever get in one?

I attempted another long distance relationship but it just didn't work out. So now I'm done with those.

im in a long distance relationship and it sucks BIG time since i live in america and my bf lives in the philipines the problem is communication coz the time zones are totally different so he would be calling/chatting with me at like 3 am and i be doing the same. the upside is that whnevr we get to talk its just so exciting and i feel this rush of happiness in my body. the relationship works out perfectly fine

- Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? I've been in one with me and my ex boyfriend (who's a really close friend of mines now)
- How far away were you? He lived in Canada (now he lives in Ohio. D; ) and I live in California.
- What major problems did you face with it? Alot of things were going on in both of our lives. He started drinking and doing drugs again. I started cutting and having too many breakdowns. Funny how we're still be here.
- Any upsides? We were together for 2 and half years. We always talked alot, called each other even through the bad times.
- How did you go about making things work? I'm not sure, we always could talk to each other about anything. We trusted each other alot and never cheated on each other. We cared too much...
- Did the relationship work? Yes until the end.
- Why or why not? It pretty much did but I broke up with him so he could get some helped. He didn't think he needed help with the drinking or doing drugs. Now he's doing better and we're both happy. We're still really good friends and talk alot.

well yeah ive been in long distance relationsnips
my girlfriend 3 years ago went to italy and i was at newyork at the time
we were studying different things
it did go smoothly 4 1/2 a year 4 us
we did know that we will bound 2 sooner or latter find someone else that we like and we played it cool
we also had a 100 daLLOR BET on who will find a new partner first and i won
so i cant really give u any advisce or anythings since we did know that we will eventually find someone else
but during the 1/2 year period of time we were on webcam email and we sent gift back and forth
so thats how we kept it for that long
plus ur only 16 now then just take it easy life will roll out as time pass by

how could you get a girlfriend when ur 14 and has 'Haru wo Daiteita' in ur favorites?
