If you eat at one of those restaurants, thinking you're going to get some nutritious food......then you're an idiot. Nobody goes there thinking "gee, this food is loaded in calories and I need to cut my calorie intake.". They go there because they want something quick to eat and without having to do dishes. Convenience, not calories, is what most people are thinking about when they go there.

agreed. If exercise-nazis are going to force us to eat carrots, there's no point in living longer and healthier.

I live off chicken breasts and steamed vegetables all week long. If I want to indulge in some BBQ wings, I don't think it's anyone's business. I workout constantly, take supplements and eat right. If I want McDonalds, then damn it, I'm eating it.

For Applebees, high calories doesn't mean high fat, it doesn't look at fat percentage.

"Peppercorn Burger has 1,440 calories and 97 grams of fat, more than you would find in 32 strips of bacon!"

You have got to be kidding me. They have had to force that much fat inside to get 97 GRAMS OF FAT into one beef and bread sandwich.

Good for you, man. It's all about moderation. I eat right all week long, but on weekends, I'm eating what I want. That's the problem with a lot of people in the US. They're way too extreme. Either they eat crap all the time and balloon up or they're skipping meals and starving themselves.

Ironically, drugs and alcohol do a lot worse for your system than junk food. Yet, these moms-against-obesity and other groups keep protesting over McDonald's and Burger King. Maybe it's just because they're getting really tempted to eat some, but are afraid of going into the 4 digit calorie mark, eh?

I find it funny, that same mothers who yammer on and on about kids being fat, are swallowing vicodin like they're m&m's.

It doesn't really surprise me at all. And, most people who are going out to eat aren't interested in the nutritional info. I tend NOT to eat out at all; I like to know what I'm eating, so I cook for myself.

Fat makes food taste good! With that info, now I know where to go and what to order! Nah, actually that makes me feel kind of . I wonder how "bad" the food at CoCo Ichibanya is? Our local plate lunches probably rank right up there in the unhealthy category.
