There's tons storylines out there with those kinds of characteristics.

Between Princess Hours/goong and ISWAK

Even though the stories aren't the same but she this

the characters:
Ariel Lin fell in love right after seeing Joe.
Yoon Eun Hye fell in love right after seeing Joo Ji Hoon but not as long as Ariel.

Joe Cheng didn't fall inlove with Ariel until he spent time with her and is kinda like a prince and really smart, don't forget rich.
Jo Ji Hoon also fell in love after he spent so much time with Yoon Eun Hye

Both the guys think that the girls were dumb at first, and both the guys were too arrogant at the start thinking they won't fall in love with the same girl.

I haven't finish Iswak so i don't know much if the guys both fell in love but were protecting their pride or just couldn't show their love, or can but in a different way

I just wanted to point this so here it is. Feel free to write what you think or ur opinion.

...uh.... isn't almost every single idol drama like that?

Let's see...
Full House
My Girl
My name is Kim Samsoon
18 vs 29
My sister-in-law is 19
Snow White
Goong S
Hana Kimi
Devil Beside You
Why Why Love

Prince Turns Frog
Fated to Love You

for me, i think Princess Hours & Fated to Love You has similar story line, but not exactly the same. because they were forced or they agree to marry each other because of some reasons, but not that they love each other. then their feelings just developed at the end.

maybe similar in some respects but I think the personalities are completely different.
to be honest I never thought about this at all, goong is one of my favourite kdramas and yet I didn't really like ISWAK-I know I'm so gonna get beaten for saying that

Ariel Lin fell in love with Joe Cheng at first sight. In her case, she was obsessed with Joe.
Eun Hye did not fall in love with Ji Hoo at first sight. Sure, she noticed him and fantasized about him... but he was the handsome prince of Korea... kind of like the same way girls sometimes fantasize about celebrities... it's not really love at first sight.

Joe thought Ariel was dumb at first. He still does because Ariel's character, Xiangqin, really lack the basics of common sense.
Ji Hoo thought Eun Hye was silly, not dumb. That's only because they both grew up differently. He didn't necessarily thought she was dumb. Amusing, yes! But Eun Hye's ignorance in the palace parallels Ji Hoo's ignorance outside the palace. Near the ending of the drama, Eun Hye wanted to show Ji Hoo her way of life before palace life. She took him on the bus, and beeped (paid) herself in when entering the bus. He imitated her action, but he didn't have the prepaid card. Remembering back, that was a cute scene.

Joe's character was cold. He didn't know how to love. He was not familiar with this feeling. Hence his trouble realizing it in ISWAK and expressing it in TKA. You can't say he was arrogant for thinking he can't like Ariel, because Joe did not care about anybody or anything beside himself. It's not that he's selfish, Joe was just a cold character. He probably thought he'd never love Ariel b/c he didn't think he could feel that way about anybody. He wasn't targeting Ariel... though he was greatly amused by doing so.
Ji Hoo's character was was more cool than cold. He loved (or REALLY LIKE) the Song Ji Hyo (the ballerina). He was gentle to those he liked (meaning he knew how to love and show love). He just didn't like Eun Hye in the beginning because she was a stranger to him. After living together for so long in the palace, she became a familiar face, his companion, and his friend. Because his relationship with Eun Hye started off poorly, he had trouble expressing kindness (as he would to those he liked) towards her. He was more considerate towards her, but she already misunderstood his intentions. (Example: when her parents came to visit and she was forced to study all her materials before meeting them. She was upset that Ji Hoo did not stall her parents from leaving before she had the chance to see them because she missed them. But Ji Hoo did not see her parents because he didn't want her reunion with her parents to become awkward with his presence. He didn't realize her parents would leave before seeing her.)

Naturally both Ariel and Eun Hye melted Joe's and Ji Hoo's heart, respectively. They both have spunky characters... but the storyline, the relationship, and characters of each role are SO different. Granted, there are some similarities. Both Ariel and Eun Hye have positive, cheerful, and energetic personalities. Both Joe and Ji Hoo are eligible bachelors. The guys are considered "prince" in their own rights (in the drama sense). The girls are considered "unattractive" in comparison to the other really pretty girls surrounding these guys (once again... in the drama sense). Both parties were thrown together under the same roof due to the following circumstances: earthquake/homeless & arranged marriage. But that's the ONLY similarity.

Princess Hours revolved around Eun Hye's adaptation to palace life, the love triangle, and struggle for power.
ISWAK revolved around Ariel's obsession with Joe & the many obstacles she faces in her daily life while pursuing him.
