America's Healthcare
Posted 11/23/07 , edited 11/23/07
Today I watched this documentary calld "Sicko" its filmed by Michael Moore the same guy who did Fahrenheit 911, Bowling for Columbine and several other documentaries. Anyways after watching this film I realized how shitty America's healthcare system was. I mean I knew it was bad but I didn't it was as bad as he showed it was. So what I want to know is what are your views on American Healthcare and if you think it should change or stay the same.
Link to wikipedia's page for the documentary "Sicko"

I have plenty of problems with the way the American healthcare system works, but don't believe everything Michael Moore tells you. Personally I think the worst part of our system may be related to prescription drugs. Because other countries use collective bargaining to reduce what they pay for drugs drug companies pass on the research costs to US.

It kind of makes me sick how they would turn away someone for cancer treatment just because they can't afford it. So much for humanity, right?

No health insurance? Oh sorry, you gotta die then..

Regardless of whether you tend to agree with Michael Moore's conclusions, Michael Moore has a history of being a propagandist rather than an objective documentarian. If you want an objective, scientific, and comprehensive presentation of the facts, Michael Moore is not the probably not person to listen to.

I would recommend looking to another source for information on anything, regardless of whether it's health care or anything else. Michael Moore is a very suspect source.
