Uh, you only think so? Did you fail to understand what I said? Even a convicted conman could make a documentary, and it might even contain true facts, but you'd have to view the whole thing with suspicion seeing as the convicted conman already starts with a reputation for dishonesty.

Moore has a reputation of lying and distorting facts. Just do some research on his other documentaries.

So sure, everything he presents could be true. However what he doesn't present could also be very important. You guys need to learn about propaganda and critical thinking:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_thinking

So please excuse me if I don't take his documentary as an educated and authoritative assessment of the situation.

Nope I understood everything. propaganda and critical thinking...shit even conspiracy...wha hoooo (btw conspiracy is my part aren't u proud of me).

To let you know everyone has their own thoughts on what is true or not.

..... Did you just give me a definition on what Critical thinking is???? Im 24 yrs old Im not a dumbass.
okay here's critical thinking for you, this is something you missed okay....I said on page one of this forum that I got fucked over by a health insurance company as well. In case u don't know this, workmen comp. is an insurance company. well anyways in August the hottest time of the month here in the lower part of the US, I was at my job and I got dehydrated so badly that I to the hospital by ambulance. after that I got a call by worker's comp a couple of days later and they told me that they were not going to help me with my bill because somehow the dehydration was my fault. And yet I was on the job...imagine that. Worker's comp is suppose to pay for ur injuries if u got hurt on the job. yes????? Am I right?? yes I am.

Im sorry ur right...america is the greatest country in the world, yeeaaa....ya wanna know why???? because ppl can get away with everything and anything.

I still maintain the bases of Micheal Moore's facts are true!!!

I'm very capitalist minded when it comes down to certain social welfare. Free health care is best for people who can't afford health care while those paying more tax money and can comfortably afford health care would suffer more. Of course, we can reallocate some of our national budget to health care since I believe a lot of it is being misappropriated. Yet, there are other issues that need more funding in my opinion such as our educational system. Free health care was but one of several things established in modern history by some governments. Not having it doesn't make the country any worse. It just makes it harder to live in only in regards to that particular aspect. I wouldn't mind a cheaper or free health care system that our government can help out with for children. I'm not going to argue for suddenly making health care free since arguing drastic changes seems irrational unless I'm someone who has thoroughly studied solid economic/government data at least.

Most of the people who say Michael is distorting the facts are distorting the facts themselves. One thing I like about Michael Moore is that he let's you see things for yourself.

It's a good think to watch anything anyone does with a grain of salt however. I thought "Bowling for Columbine" was a better advertisement TO carry firearms when he mentioned that crime went down in Canada as gun ownership increased. (When I was a kid growing up in Maine I never even trespassed because where I grew up trespassers got shot at.)

i completely agree . all michael moore was doing was opening the eyes of people who have no idea or desire to investigate on their own . one part of that movie really hit home though . the american people are truly afraid of the government . it is like that in many parts of the world though too not just america . but its unfortunate because the government is for the people .

ive always felt that everything was designed to get the maximum amount of money out of the american people . since we are of course one of the richest countries .

i find the whole thing disgusting . and that movie was nothing but sad and despairing . i would hope that the new president takes us all on the right path, but frankly, im not getting my hopes up >.<

power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely .

Michael Moore truely a big fat propagandist.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau there are only 37 million (NOT 50 million) people without without health insurance if only actual U.S. citizens are included (Illegal Immegrents). The U.S. health care system is indeed more market driven than in most other countries, but nearly half of all health care costs is paid for by the government. Already in 2004 roughly 45% of health care costs were government funded a proportion which has likely increased since then due to Bush's Medicare expansion.

In Canada, recent government study said that only half of ER patients received health care in a timely fashion. Lindsay McCreith of Ontario was supposed to wait four months for an MRI, and then wait several months more to see a neurologist for his malignant brain tumor. But instead, McCreith, like many other Canadians –came to the United States for life-saving surgery.

Moore claimed that health care is free in the United Kingdom and France and that we must adopt that in the US. But according to CATO Institute, they said that in both France and UK are not free. France funded through a 13.55 percent payroll tax, a 5.25 percent income tax and other taxes on tobacco, alcohol and drug-company revenues. And the system is still running a $15.6 billion deficit.

While the UK , British journalist for business and medication for London Newspaper wrote that NHS want people to pay for it through our noses, every month. Next years NHS budget will be about $104 billion. Thats roughly £1,733 per man, woman and child. Multiplied by four for a typical two-child family, then divided by 12, that equates to median monthly family healthcare expenditure of £577, or $1,155 in American money. I can buy some very respectable US health insurance for $1,155 a month.

Americans are unaware that the distinct and growing trend across Europe is a move away from centralized, government-controlled health care.In the Netherlands, where health care is a basic public right, the Dutch are adopting a system of private health insurance. Even Sweden, the mother of all welfare states, has moved toward privatization in an effort to reduce wait times and increase access, in the face of ever-increasing costs!

As for Cuba, when Michael and others went this excellent health facilities in Sicko, that place is only for foreigners, who pay with hard currency for those services. Cubans are not even allowed to visit those facilities. Cubans who require medical attention must go to other hospitals, that lack the most minimum requirements needed to take care of their patients. Behind most of facilities for Cubans are filthy, really filthy. Patients have to bring their own towels, bed sheets, pillows, or they would have to lay down on dirty bare mattresses stained with blood and other body fluids. .

I understand that US health care is not in great shape now, but when people easily believe every words from Moore big mouth, and not listening more to the health care and business professionals is dumb. And as for me who thinks a lot, while watching Sicko did not make sense, in business stands.
