i think the only reason that people are scared of death is because we don't know what comes after it. if we were to say that all people go to heaven after death, then people would pretty much be fine with it, wouldn't they?

ur not scared coz u believe in afterlife! but think about those who arent religious!

i really think everyone is scared of death because we dont noe whats really gonna happen when we die
we always question things like "Is there really a heaven?" or "Does God really exist?"
u noe stuff like that
if i had proof of what happens after i pass away then i wouldnt be scared
because i wud noe wat to expect
but we dont noe so thats why we are scared
sometimes i even question their own religion and ask myself if its really worth it after i die
or if im just wasting my time

i cant wait to die. of course i hope to marry an asian woman first and have a family but if i die i'll be able to live with god in paradise

I am not all that fearful of death, in the end we must all face it for it finds us all. What I fear about death is dieing and leaving no legacy behind me. To be forgotten would be the worse than death. To know that I had lived a life so unremarkable that I left no a trace behind me, that would be truly terrible. This is what I fear about death.

I do, and I pray for them that they would be saved so they can go to heaven too. The afterlife isn't based on personal opinion or what we want it to be. The afterlife is absolute and does not change.

Death, is but the End of a Beginning. Yet also, the Beginning of an End.

When people said that they are not afraid of death, they actually fear it until it became normal. Those who fear it, are those that have not become accustomed to it yet. Sometime, things are so pointless and yet so clear, but people just wants to make it harder by trying to find an answer that's always in front of them. They look so deep, that they ignore the answer that was always in front of them.

As we grew to fear, or to like it...We create many faces that show our beliefs towards it. Afterlife, I dunno...All those kind of answers. Religion, athesist....They are one but the same. Life is Death, and yet Death is Life. They are a side of a coin, that cannot be erased, a blade that swings both way.

Im scared of death because when i die, i will lose all my memories, which is the most valuable thing to me.
Is what i thought a few years ago.
but now im not as scared of death as i used to be because of "religous" reasons,
(maybe religions were made to keep us from being scared of death)

WHY???... because i'm only 18 and i haven't fulfill my dreams yet... ^^ and i HAVEN'T live my life to it's fullest.

sure it's scary but it's going to happen eventually so why not embrace it?

I'm not afraid of my death, i'm more afraid of what will cause it. Old Age? Sickness? Fighting? Who knows.

Its inevitable, its impossible to not die, for everything that lives must die. So its foolish to be afraid of death itself.

Though personally... i'm more afraid of being forgotten than dying. Because if your forgotten, it'll be like you've never even existed in the first place.

I'm scared of death because I know I'll miss a lot of things in life but I don't wanna' live forever though, it would be a curse to see yourself age and age.

watch the arc in the anime Kaiji where they have to cross the narrow bridge. It's a slap to the face and a rude wake up call, for the philosophy stated is that we're not scared of dying, we're scared of not living.

i am afraid to die because i think it will hurt.and i dont know what comes after death.im afraid to go to hell.

and i dont want to be someone people would be scared of.
no one looks pretty when they die.i dont want to look cold and useless and ugly.

plus, im afraid people will eventually forget me like I never ever existed.
