It's the dying alone part that's depressing.

I am afraid of death because every single one of my ancestors were afraid of death
and if any of them wern't, they prob might have done more life risking things and might not have survived, hence i would not exist

people who aren't scared of death tend to die out

so u might even say that being scared of death is an effect of evolution

just like how nearly everyone likes or is interested in sex
because anyone who doesn't has a lower chance of ever having children and passing on that trait
it is also an effect of evolution

My last sentance means, the afterlife is something that religion can't explain. IMO it is way different than anything you've ever read about in religious text.

To some extent, I agree with you. I think that because it's hard for us to absorb what exactly happen, so what religion does, is gives a rough picture that we could understand but also it states that what actualy happen is beyond man's ability to comprehend.

For example, while paradise's described many times, religious text also confirms that what actually there, is which "no eye has seen, no ear has heard and has never even crossed the minds of men".
It may be like using some models in astronomy. The crux of the matter is its existence.

I do not afraid of Death. Since there's God above us who look upon us.
If I did obey His rules in my life, then He would protect me from the pain of death.

But of course, I would not say I ready to die. Because as a kid, I have many wrong things I had commit and It'll be great if I have looong age to cleanse my sins before death says hi to me.

The only people who should be afraid of death are atheists and some religions (like Islam).
Since Atheists believe theres nothing after death, they must not want to die.
With muslims our fate is ridiculously unknown (unlike the christians) so its more of a fear of spending eternity in hellfire than a fear of death, death is just a doorway to the afterlife.

When you die, your body stops moving. And then you won't be able to see your loved ones, and your dreams die, but your hope lives on. Or something like that. If your religious, then you would believe your soul goes to 'heaven' or you reincarnate a century later. Or something like. that. It depends on your belief.

I'm not religious so I don't believe in any of the reincarnation of heaven stuff.
I fear the nothingness after death.
I'm afraid of never laughing again.
Not being able to see what else is beyond this world when our technology finally is advanced enough to take us further.
I fear not being able to see all the things I love.
I fear not having emotions, or thoughts, or dreams.
& I fear disappearing. Three centuries after my death who's going to remember that Asian Chick from New York City that wanted to have her feet in everything?

Responding to an old post since I haven't been around in forever. Please forgive.

Then what is it?
It happens, why fear it? It doesn't make sense to fear what is bound to happen.

There isn't such thing as a logical emotion anyway. Emotions are by nature, illogical.

There's no logical reason to fear ANYTHING. Just as there's no logical reason to not fear anything.

i'm not afraid of death. i just don't want to be there when it happens....

kidding. i mean it's natural to be afraid of death but i'm not sure i'm afraid i mean i don't think of it as a punishment or something obviously we're all gonna die in the end and i don't want to be the only one standing.

Umm, to be honest I'm not afraid of death itself, I'm afraid of HOW I'm going to die.

As to what there is after death, I'm not sure. If someone will be standing there with a clipboard judging us.. theeen I'm screwed for being semi-religious and doubting most of what they tell me. But if all that happens is me turning into fertilizer.. sweetness.
