I don’t mind dying, although I would prefer it to be painless and after a fulfilling life. Currently I’m betting on nothing after death, although I recognise I can’t know for certain until I’m dead.

I was afraid when I still was in the early part of my teens due to it being both certain and unknown, not anymore though. I death this is a personal issue that everyone confronts when they feel ready for it, and should not be forced.

Im not scared. I dont think I care, actually.
As cynical as this may sound, we are all destined to die; what difference should it make to us?
What does it matter if we die today or tommorow?
Why should we be scared?

i think the scariest part is the momment right before you die. Like how do u know how painful it will be, since through the laws of science we don't all jus drop dead randomly, there has to be a cause. And i'm not talking about like being tortured to death im talking about the momment wen u actually die. Im not goin go into afterlife and w/e cuz no one truly knows and its not like any of tat stuff is scary anyways, i mean unless ur reborn in like hell or r reborn as a fly or something tats different....

I don't really fear death that much. I've just always figured that it can't be too different than sleeping.

There is the issue of the afterlife and how people fear that just maybe Heaven and Hell do exist, or if reincarnation is the true afterlife. People don't like the fact that, no matter what you believe in, there could be a chance that you would end up in a place you dislike. Then again, there is the chance of there being nothing and when we die we just cease to exist.

I suppose that it is somewhat of an irrational fear though, since we all have to die at some point, which is exactly why I really don't see the point in living in fear of the inevitable when you could be living life and looking forward to tomorrow.

I agree. The afterlife is what people fear the most, probably more so than death in itself. There is the actual dying part too. Some people may hold fears of a painful death and not care whether there is an afterlife or not.

However, fearing death, no matter how inevitable, isn't irrational. People don't just want to stop living, and that is a perfectly good excuse for being frightened of dying.

I myself don't fear death as a whole and what comes after life, but I do fear of dying painfully. Then again, the dead don't remember their pain.

nope its inevitable Look at it this way would you rather die when its your time to go OR live forever and watch your love ones pass away one by one leaving all on your own? At least when you die you know you'll meet up with them again and blah-d-blah

I think death is what makes life so beautiful, the fact that any moment could be our last, the reason why we don't want to die is because we will die eventually and live life to its fullest-becoming attached to the beauty of life
