It's just nature's insurance policy to all life haha. If one doesn't fear death, they have either been depressed for too long, or consistantly given death a sort of value by praising an idea or a religion which is admirable. I couldn't do that even if I wanted to. So I guess I'll have to live my life choosing not to know what's on the other side, other than bugs and germs feasting on your corpse.

Whether it will be very painful or whatnot, but dieing is always painful. I'm not really afraid of death at all, when it happens, nothing can be done about it.

Accept death and you will not fear it... I personally do not fear death itself but I do fear the afterlife, or lack thereof depending your belief. I don't believe there is a form of afterlife and that's the thing that scares me the most.
