WARNING: If you don't want your reading to be ruined, then please don't click on the spoiler below.

Okay, so if you have a question why this plot was divided into three sections, the answer is that Breaking Dawn is broken up into three books, the first from the perspective of Bella, the second from Jacob's perspective, and the last from Bella's again.

For me, I didn't liked it--not hate--but yeah. If you compare it to the three books before BD, it's somewhat different.
The whole 'pregnant' thing is like
And I can't believe Jacob imprinted on
And even talk about the name Renesmee. What is that? A maaan's name?
It's like, I didin't know the characters anymore so . . I'm quite disappointed.
Though, the part--EXCEPT the pregnant thing--is okay for me . .

Eh, if you haven't read the actual story of the book, what are your opinions after reading this whole thing?
:3 I just wanted to know. Hehehhh.

actually, i just finished it and am now in shock... so all I can say is 'i dunno what happened'
I was expecting to love it. I was prepared to like it. I was not ready to want to return it to the bookstore.
it just seemed to fanfictiony for me, and frankly, i think i've read better fanfiction. I felt like I suddenly didn't know these characters, especially Bella.
And I just couldn't take the name 'Renesmee' seriously. It was too much like what a stupid immature pregnant teen would name their child. I was never quite sure if Bella was joking when she said the middle name was 'Carlie'. Unfortunately, she was probably serious.

I must say that I'm glad Bella and Edward got married and Bella was changed, but the whole pregnancy storyline just had me rolling my eyes in disbelief (this had to be some sort of twisted joke right?), especially since SM had ruled out this possibilty with the way she created her vampire universe. I'm ok with weird things, but I just don't like inconsistency within a universe, albeit an imaginary one.

Then a zillion characters were introduced and I just started feeling lost, especially added to the anti climactic ending.

Also, am I just a pansy, or was this book ridiculously over-graphic compared to the others? I mean, I'd be embarassed if my mom read it, and most of the other girls at the midnight release where 12-13 year olds! I personally don't think they should be reading this book.

Was there anything else I liked? Oh yes, Seth rocked my socks, and Jacob's thoughts could be pretty funny. and I must admit, I was immensely entertained.

I thought it was fab.
+Noone died, aside from Irina, which was my 2nd most devestating concern.
+Jacob is happy, and still remains a part of Bella's family.
+Bella turns into a really awesome vampire/ends up with Edward (my first concern)
+We got some action, though admittedly-- and regrettably-- not much.
+There was more detailed info on vampires and the Volturi

There was enough events in the 4th book to be stretched into 2 books, though. Well, at least, that's what I believe. There are still things that I wanted to know more of. If anything, it felt like everything was being....rushed. I didnt like that very much.
In some ways, I think the book could have been better. I'm not really sure how.... but I think it could. Still, it was a very good read and it made me happy when I finished reading it.

One thing that I know I did not like about Breaking Dawn was the lack of individual characterization. I felt that I didnt really know the characters, compared to the last books, and that's what really draws me in the most.

Their wasnt enough sex in it, though. *grins* I was looking forward to some mild-steamy scenes...of their first night, at least. But that totally didnt happen. Major dissapointment. [[It IS meant for young-adult readers, after all. Even if the intended target audience broadens to younger readers, that is not Meyer's fault, nor should it be her consideration. The quality of the book should be aimed for its initial target.]]

So yeah, there were a few things that I did not really like about BD.... but overall, it was a great read and it left me more than content with the ending.

i TOTALLY AGREE [about the lack of characterization and everything]! i didn't feel like i knew the characters very much either - even the main ones that were introduced in the last 3 books.

i finished this book last night, and while i was reading the first book of breaking dawn in bella's POV, i literally was like " IS THIS SERIOUSLY TWILIGHT?! " i seriously thought that someone had just played a major prank and wrote their own version of breaking dawn and sold it in stores. but as i continued reading, i realized that this WAS stephenie meyer's work. i cannot say that i HATEEE it and i cannot say that i LOVEEE it either. i can say that i enjoyed it very much, however :D

i think that the tone and mood of the book has changed quite a bit from its previous books [not that i am complaining of course. i wont be like those people who go "OMGAWD I HATE BREAKING DAWN! IT KILLED THE FIRST 3 BOOKS!" because its not your book people! i'm just listing my thoughts of it in a friendly manner (:]. in the first half of breaking dawn [where bella is sick and all that] the story just felt really dark to mee. and that sorta set the mood for me as i continued through the book.

i wish that there could be another book after breaking dawn, because i feel that there are many more questions that should be answered. but then again, for there to be another book, people would want more action and difficult problems to rise. i just want another book to show me what happens after the " happy ending " - i wanna see how renesmee grows up and stays with jacob, i wanna see how bella reacts after a couple of centuries as a vampire when everyone she knows is dead [SOBBB], and i just wanna know what happens to everyone. i feel like the volturi incident(s) should be resolved with more action, but then the series would become really loong and drawn out i can see that.

SOOO, i'll just stay happy with everything that stephenie meyer has written for us. hopefully i'll start to like breaking dawn as much as i do with the other books when i start rereading it again[:

I loved for what it was intended to be; a dramatic adolescent version of mythical scenarios. The key theme is- and has always been- the potent love between Bella and Edward. Bella's character is compassionate a thousand times over, I see that now and understand it completely.
If you can let yourself go, and journey with them, then you will love Breaking Dawn as much as I did.
There is nothing wrong with permitting yourself to forget reality and possibilities, and what can and can't happen in real life. Loose yourself in this book, and you will find happiness in the end.

Also, a big thanks to Stephenie Meyer for refreshing my belief in a silly little thing called true love.

I had to admit, my first reaction was a bit.. annoyed. I mean, I guess I felt a bit weird about the "Bella-got-pregnant" thing cause she said it wasn't possible (this was before she described the reason why it was possible) but I remember I was thinking "this is starting to sound like one of those fanfics where Bella gets pregnant blah blah blah..." I mean, I'm not criticizing or anything, just that my initial reaction was like that. I guess for the most part, it was weird for me to try and adjust to this new prospect in the book and it kept me a bit annoyed throughout the book. And the whole 'maternal love' thing.. yeah, I get that it changes people.. but Bella just seemed a little out of character for me. I think, most of that is because Bella never really grew up in my head. I still see her as the 17-year old in Twilight. Overall I think phantastes summed it up for me in her post about all the fanfic feel and the bit about feeling lost because of too many new characters. Ah yes, and the Renesmee thing. Don't kill me for this-- but I seriously thought she was joking about that so when it turned out her daughter was actually named that, it was just completely weird for me. I'll be frank-- I think the name sounds.. straight out of one of those "Bella-gets-pregnant" fanfics. It makes me not want to take it seriously.
I also agree with Rx2D that BD seemed a bit rushed. It's nothing I can really describe, but for some reason I just felt that way. All that was MY opinion, so no flames. I'm not complaining about the book, even if I sounded like I was, because it really was a great read (or else I wouldn't have suffered that horrid neck cramp and sat there for 11 hours).

hmmmmmmmmmmm first of all, I LOVED IT would sum up my whole opinion about BD despite some of its flaws

...well, let's just say that, it's like a mother-child relationship between me and this book. It's like no matter how bad(hurts me to use this word) the child had a gotten, a mother would always love the child unconditionally like no matter how much this book had been so predictable at some point, to me, I just can't bring myself to dislike it. LAWL kaay that was weird concept but that's just exactly how I feel.

what I would change with the plot is this: I would've love it more if the fight with Volturi happened :] not that I'm a violence lover but a little bit of action and yeah, violence in means of vampires ripping and killing each others would've been a perfect balance to the plot. well, for me it would be. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE BELLA GO ALL OUT I think SM was concern about the length of the book if she had included the fight but actually, I wouldn't mind reading longer <3

my secret desire, you might not like it though:

but aside from all of this, i loooved it! after all, I got what I wanted ... Edward and Bella "forever and forever and forever"
