i use normal attacks most of the time too. if i actually want to kill a basoukazuma i have to re-equip my avi. i have the items but its too troublesome. i did it a few times just for kicks . i'll need higher elem atk+phy def items to kill that thing as my level goes higher though. for eg my right hand weapon is still the fire sword which i bought more than 30 levels ago and boosts only +25 fire atk when the highest physical atk on a right hand weapon is already +50. no new elem items at all. boosting magic up till level 40 is probably enough if you need to use elem atks occasionally or stuff like the bunny but otherwise strength and vitality are more important. i think anyway. i may change my mind cos killing basoukazumas at high level (70 onwards) with fire attacks are probably easier than trying to hit other non-elemental npcs with physical damage. |

I find that it doesn't really matter. Sometimes though, an alemental attack will cause more damage than the physical...at the cost of mana...water works on plants (wierd, I know)...while earth will work on some... choose an element and boost to that cause...otw keep w/ vitality and strength, you can always buy potions to replenish mana.

i would really like to build a mage right now (since so many items are getting their phy stats nerfed
)but stats of current elem gears are just blah. i don't see many items with a good combo of elem atk & phy def. or they're just hiding from me? |
