too long (THEY LAST FOR 5 MONTHS MINIMUM....USUALLY A YEAR OR SO!) and the show it every single night!
too boring
bad acting
rich vs. poor
predictable....( too obvious, usually the good person wins...duhhh )
too much twists
TOO dramatic
and...oh yahh....same luv teams...u get sick of it since its too long but then here they go again acting in the same drama....so fucking annoying!
lemme add bad special effects (super inggo, kung fu kids)

and for the people who have seen "ang cute ng ina mo" dont u think it doesn't make sense how anne's character lived in australia all her life (except when she was a baby) but then she speaks fluent tagalog and a horrible australian accent....okay lang ung kay eugene since they were tryna make it funny but duudee...that doesnt make sense AT ALL!

the stories r very cliche.

and predictable sometimes.

they copy the plot and title. ex: GAGAMBOY = SPiderman

the good ppl always win.

the special effects r kinda gay.

they're not only gay, they're really outdated too!!

additional opinion...
oh yeah, i don't know... the 'love' between the couple for me is shallow...i think that is why i never got hooked on filipino dramas. i can't explain it well but the perception of love in our dramas is going romantic and all... hmm, sorry if i'll gonna compare it again to another drama but i really liked these dramas, because though the love story is just simple, you can really tell that it was love because the main characters changed for the better and all or they matured somehow because they learned something from each other... (i'm talking about taiyou no uta - jmovie and flowers for my life - kdrama)

haha... again, though i have disappointment in our dramas, i'm still proud to be a filipino, so don't get me wrong, ok?

i knoo! i agree....they just suddenly fall in love with each other! yuppp...i dont feel any "kilig" moments either!

very predictable, some lead actors/actors are chosen for their looks rather than talent,no originality

they take long (they're shown 5 days a week and last for about one year or more.)
they are draggy
predictable
effects are horrible
you will know who's the bad guy and good guy on the very first episode based on their outfits and when they have mischievous grin

not all filipino dramas are bad, i mean there are actually good ones with a good story. all those things about being predictable or over acting, isn't it visible in other dramas as well, not just filipino?

i suggest filipino dramas should be in tagalog like how they speak in olden times or something because the language being used now is too tag-lish. and the essence of filipino is... vanishing or something like that.

oh! it's always a love story. not much variety. but then if it is action, i don't think the philippine setting is good for that. there's nothing inspirational or something that promotes friendship or other values.

over "MILKING" of the plot... that makes it so dragging
lead actors or even supporting actors tend to be overacting in some scene which is quite annoying,,, but ilove their soundtracks..their good!! ( mostly )
there are some dramas that really touched your heart and sink-in in your minds!!

i feel kinda sad because filipino dramas are really far behind j,k and tdramas... i think it's partly because some dramas from taiwan, japan, korea are based from novels, manhwas (is this the correct spelling of the korean manga??) and mangas. anyway, i hope to see some improvement in the future...

the things that annoy me are:

1. it's too long. and they tend to make it longer if a lot of people like it.
2. they wear heavy make up esp. they rich people.
3. they wear dresses and pants even when their at home (where's the party at??)
4. it's really just the same story with different circumstances.
5. they should be open to wider range of dramas and/or genres. ( i mean drama doesn't only have to be a girl crying because she lost her lover...)
6. some actors are overused. (ugh, not him/her again!)
7. the villains have lack of motive why they're bad. (they're just plain bad to begin with)
8. some scenes are totally irrelevant
9. heavy drama (why not kill the lead too!)
10. but in the end the good will ALWAYS win.. (it doesn't happen in reality..)

in defense to the language, i think they can't help it since english is our second language. if they made it all tagalog, i bet some audience won't understand what they are saying. it happens in real life. even cebuanos use english with our dialect. it's part of our culture already.

now this is an example why others will never believe in the talents of filipinos..you constantly put them down..there are some good dramas i recomment sana maulit muli, lobo, and bituining walang ningning..

Uhh really bad acting? Haha just kidding.

I hate seeing fight scenes.. and crying scenes .. and PEOPLE WEARING OBVIOUS MAKEUP 24-7 WHEN FILIPINOS DON'T EVEN WEAR MAKE-UP THAT OFTEN (or everywhere) IN REAL LIFE =[
- like seriously, who wears green eyeshadow at home?
- or who wears eyeliner when they're in the hospital .. on their death bed ..

But yeah I don't like seeing them struggle.

Oh and the obvious 3D animation ahahah >_< ..

And I really don't like seeing SOME of the rather ugly actresses.. like the one in Becuz of U (the girl with brown hair who dumped the guy with braces -- ew!) .. or seeing actors/ actresses try to act American .. I mean what ever happened to culture?

yeah, I agree with the 'unrealistic' use of make-up in Filipino dramas... like it seems that the actresses always have to stay fresh 24/7!

but about the ugly actress thing, are you talking about Kristine Hermosa? are you serious, you think she's ugly?

you mean this girl:?

you gotta be kidding....ryt?

but, yeah the make-up thing is true.
