Since Katsura has a serious class where you actually learn Japanese, Ithought i could teach people how to program in the C++ programming language. I want to see how many students are going to take this class before I start.

Through this class you should be able to make calculators, Trojans, keyloggers, games and more!

*I am not going to teach OpenGL if anyone asks*

Only the Visual C++ express 2008. I don't have the time to teach 4 programming languages.

And if I don't get as many students as I want I will recommend a good book for you guys that will teach you C++
and i will turn this topic into a "Q&A: topic

I am going to give you a list of vocabulary words don't worry about memorizing them just use use this as a reference
1. C++ - the programming language I am teaching

2. programming language - in simplest terms its a list of instructions for the computer

3. Compiler - the thing that translates your programming code into instructions the computer can read it would look like this "01000110101010111" you are not going to learn this because it is useless to people

4. programming code - the instructions you are going to give to the computer before they are "compiled"

5. debug - finds all the mistakes in you programming code and tells what they are

6. warnings - mistakes in your programming code that are non-fatal meaning your program will still work but it may not work correctly

7. "compiler error" or just "error" - a fatal mistake in your programming code that will the compiler cannot ignore, your program will not work at all if there are any compiler errors

8. executable program - After the compiler "compiles" your programming code it becomes an executable program which any computer should be able to run, the file extension is ".exe" but for programming code it is ".cpp" and for text documents it is ".txt"

9. OpenGL - I won't be teaching this but it is something that when used with C++ correctly allows you to make 3D games

10. console or console window - you guys have seen it before it looks like this:

since you asked i will start Lesson 1
1. go to file and under new press new project
2. Type "Hello World" as the name
3. click finish
4. Your new window should have some text written on it, delete ALL of it
5. type the following things verbatim, DO NOT copy and paste

#include "stdafx"
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

int main()
{
cout << "Hello World!";
char a;
cin >> a;
return 0;
}

just curious, do student required to have any spesific knowledge before taking dis class? i'm not a computer person n just know basis of the computer (not so bad but not so good either)

*serious mode* i'm just start working as an acountant (yes i'm a dull person!) in a multimidia advertising company. the bad thing about it is, i dun have enough knowledge regarding dis field, n i kind of feel like an alien talking everytime at d meeting.

do u mind if i taking dis class, but i might not be able to do everythng u teach, i just hope to at least understand the basis of it which i believe can help me improve my works. thank u ~ its too formal, i know! sorry bout dat ^_^

This is class is made for people with no programming knowledge, you just need to know how to listen and the basics of a computer (i.e. installation, using programs, etc). If you can use the internet you are good enough for this class. But from the looks of it I am not sure about continuing this class because of the low turnout, teaching C++ is not an easy task.

Well I am considering making this a general computer class because C++ isn't for beginners, and judging from your comments you guys are on a lower level than I expected . Anyone against making this a general computer class please say so.

Okay, this is very interesting but I don't think I'd be able really do anything in here cause I'm 'Zero' with computer programs, so I guess I'll just observe for the time being - very good class though

"for people with no programming knowledge" looks like i'm just qualified ^_^

its ok, i totally understand if u do want to continue it. Q&A session or basis computer class might also be a good idea.

so my 1st question is:-
what is cms (content management system)?

thanks in advance for ur help
