I love comedy, mystery, psychological, twisted-mental-abusing manga. With a little touch of romance (but i don't like cheesy romance).
I don't like something like fantasy or supernatural themed manga.
And I love manga with realistic graphics. I'm so picky about graphics so I only read manga with great graphics (according to my point of view). Beside that, realistic mangas are usually very detailed to everything even for the smallest thing. So I can enjoying some disturbing scene clearly.

Saying that is like I admitted that I have something wrong with my head -_-

I don't prefer a particular genre over another but I do tend to like older stuff better. Particularly stuff that was done in the 60's, 70's & 80's. The artwork and story seem to have more "soul" and you can really get a sense of the artists style and passion. A lot of the stuff today often seems generic and flat. There are certainly artists that have this "soulful" (for lack of a better term) approach today but it seems more of a rarity.

Examples artists with this "soulfulness" I speak of include:

‣ Keiko Takemiya (To Terra...)

‣ Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy, Black Jack, Buddha)

‣ Keiji Nakazawa (Barefoot Gen)

‣ Kazuo Koike (Lone Wolf and Cub)
