I wish anime got rid of them, they just ruin anime for me. Like Escaflowne and Evangelion.

no i think it would really be unnecessary.. and i believe that characters are like that for a reason >.< well its just me though..

no , the anime would be freaky if the main protagonist is stoic and all calm of his/ her challenges. with out the main character struggling with his/ her obstacles, the anime wont have a plot. _ _

Very pointless , That would make the anime very very pointless.
The characters would be dull the anime would be boring.
Feeling would be lost to a extent.
Anime is like a movie with out it's variety of character's
the anime/movie will fall down and crash.
Optional or not get used to it.

never, whining main characters make the anime interesting. I wouldn't watch dull anime. lol
