Ich heiße Katsura! Ich bin froh, Sie kennenzulernen. Ich spreche nur ein klein wenig Deutsch. Entschuldigen Sie mein schlechtes Deutsch.

i didn't meant that. i wanted to say that your german really is god and it's the polite version you are talking but you can also take the direct style which i think is easier^^

Oi Gintoki! What are you insinuating? hmph...forgive my collegue! He lacks tact... I don't mind learning ANY language. It is my mission to spread the message of Joi to the whole world! for that I must be able to speak with all people! Yes! All languages are important!

^so now to the first lesson again!! attention students!!
now is the self-introduction part!
therefore you begin just like Katsura-sensei with:
Ich heiße... -> i am..
or simply say
Ich bin -> also i am....
or the longest way
Mein Name ist... -> my name is
for this exsample you can see that the english and german words are quite similar so this may be one of the easierst^^

lesson A: continuation!
now you can add
Es freut mich Sie kennen zu lernen! -> it's a pleasure to meet you! (polite way)
or the direct style
Es freut mich dich kennen zu lernen! -> nice to meet you!
"Es" means "it"
"freut" means "glad"
"mich" means "me"(in this content)
"dich"and "sie" means "you"(in this content)
"kennen" means "know"
"zu lernen" means "to learn"
so if you translate it word by word it would be:
It glad me to learn you know.
doesn't make sense i know that's why do can't simply translate word by word.
but there are still sentenses you can do this.
it can't be helped but german is a difficult language because of it's grammar...but we will do it and have success^^
