Post Reply For those who has finished Breaking Dawn, what do you think? **SPOILERS!!! READ AT OWN RISK!***

i enjoyed the book very much... it was like now i wanted more. lol
but it was the last..mayb not?? well someone up there on teh forum said that bella didnt go through sacrifice to get what she wanted. i respect that completely but thats not how i see it. from my point of view, all the other 3 books and half of breaking dawn, she is still human and sacrificed alot of her human side to become a vampire. as for teh Jacob book, i though it was only fair because stephenie meyer is coming out with "midnight sun" from edwards point of view, and it wouldnt be fair to those people who like jacob. i was surprised that he imprinted on Renesmee, but it was ironic because in a way he also ended up with Bella.so i though it was a good ending but i wanted to know more about everyone else.

it was great. there were tons of unexpected things that shocked me...... like how bella erm....... became a mom...jacob imprinting on renesmee, bella turning into a vampire (her beating emmett in the arm wrestling was hilarious!xDD), the volturi...and so much more. it was awesome.

A couple things that pissed me off:

1. Jacob imprinting on Renesmee. To me, it was totally predictable. (I loved that Bella flipped out on him, and the fact that Emmett was making bets though!) I guess Meyer wanted everyone to have a happy ending, but it still pissed me off. I got use to it after a while, but it made Jake totally out of character. Another out-of-character-moment I felt was when Jacob told Charlie about the whole "werewolf" thing. It just didn't seem like a "him" thing to do. Eh?
2. Bella not experiencing the same normal effects as a newborn-vampire. It didn't really explain why she was so special, seeing as her power wasn't self control - it was being a shield. Meh, I was actually kinda glad that she didn't go haywire though, because that woulda made the book very, very long (too long, in other words) or have Meyer say "10 years later" or something like that.
3. Bella not acting like her normal self once becoming a vampire. She seemed to lose some of her personality. Yeah, I know vampires aren't clumsy and forgetful like she was as a human, but I still think that there shoulda been more "Bella-ness." (Don't get me wrong though, she's awesome as a vampire too, I think! O.o) And her being a mother was just... Well, hard for me to grasp. Maybe it was because while she was bearing the child, it went into Jacob's POV, so I couldn't see it from her POV. Or maybe not. Maybe Bella just doesn't seem like a "motherly-character" too me and never will.
4. There didn't seem to be as much suspense/tension. Like, in the book, a problem wasn't as big as a problem as there were in Twilight or any other books. It seemed a bit predictable, and I was disappointed when there was no full-out-awesome-battle between the covens and the Volturi. Instead, everyone parted without much action - it saddened me. =(

Other than that...

I liked the book in general. It was awesome. I locked myself in my room and read it - only ever pausing to get a snack. X3 This is probably number 2 in my books. Twilight was first. Breaking Dawn second, then Eclipse, then New Moon. I was hoping for it to be better than Twilight, but you know what they say - its hard for the original to get outbeat by a sequel.

I read Breaking Dawn and I thought it was interesting in the begining and middle but the end was pretty much just horribly Calm. But now that I am writing about what I actually think, I must say that it was a huge disappointment. Maybe it was like what that one girl said about fantasizing about it soo much that the book could no longer live up to expectations, but what I think is that it turned out that you couldn't really guess what would happen in the book because it was no where near what her other books were like. The twists and turns was like as if she was just trying to finish the book, especially at the end, like she had a deadline, it wasn't really her essence put into the book it was more like just a thing to waste her time on. The other books were written with intrigue and adventure this last book didn't end as well as the others there was no Big Fight, no disturbance, no new exciting twist that could change their fate......and then I realized why I disliked the last book. It was because... it was the last book. Kind of like saying a bitter-sweet farewell to an old friend and even though it wasn't nearly as long as Harry Potter I still think its way better. And then I also love lots of parts like when Charlie says "You're Pregnant" and still has his gun...or...When Jacob shows up at the wedding...or...when J. Jenks is soo scared of Jasper...I think overall it was definitely a fantastic book but I guess it depends on the fan girl your talking too...

i def agree with lucky4193, i enjoyed the book alot and i realized that even though people wont live up to it, everyone feels bittersweet because indeed, it is the last book. i found myself taking my time reading breaking dawn when i could have easily read it in like 2 days. the only bad thing i could think about sayin is that in the last scene could have been a little more thorough, but i like it because she showed Edward what he really wanted to see, her human memories.i also think that the negative response to the book is due to the fact that ppl obsessed too much with wat they though the book would be...and i mean common anyone who is not satisfied is clearly wrong. anyone who though that Bella would end up with Edward had the wrong misconception because Twilight saga is obviously about Bella & Edward's love story and it will always be that way. and what is a good love story without some rivalry?? that was the purpose of Jacob..so everything wouldn't be soo easy. soo my dear friends, i think that everyone who was a true twilight fan should look for the good things in teh book not the bad one.

It's quite different in that Bella doesn't seem to be the main character anymore...she's also portrayed as a hopeless idiot during most of the novel (in my opinion anyway) and we also don't see much of her original personality...
I also think that the whole imprinting thing is kinda weird...like, i could so see Jacob getting on with Leah

I love Breaking Dawn! Nessie is so adorable!!! I wanna hug her!! but seriously.... I thought there would be more action at the end with the Voultries <?>

but hell yeah.... I love it!!! There's was a lot of emotions in it...... for me it was kinda predictable that Jacob would imprint on Nessie....for some reason.... don't ask me abt it.....

I love Bella's power.....too bad that Irina was burnt to death!! wah!!!

Honestly, I'm just disappointed.
I will definitely NOT see the Breaking Dawn movie.
I expected things to end differently, very differently.
:| Oh well, at least the movie will be good.

Imprinting:
It's practically like in falling in love at first sight. You see one person you love and you want to be with them forever. That's what imprinting is mainly about. You devote your whole life to the person and to make them happy. Nobody really matters in your world except that person. *it's mainly love, but in a complicated form*

How Jake describes it: "Like a blind man seeing the sun for the first time."
