“One day you will be able to see that power…but I wouldn’t call it the power of light”. Sango turned to look at her, “You should get some sleep, you look tired, I’ll stay up and stand guard”. Sango spoke in his normal tone.

Shirube lowered her eyes and half-heartedly nodded. "Eh, I guess," she muttered, standing up and looking for somewhere shady to rest. It was a bit hard to find growth in this province, but she knew there was a little growth a few feet away and headed toward it, then lay down in the shade. The sun drained her, slowly but constantly, so she couldn't stay in the light for too long. The cat jumped down unnoticingly and shifted in the form of a human child, bones cracking every now and then and its fur shrinking into the skin. The boy had light, buttery brown hair and curious-looking eyes--they shifted colors every time he did. "Power of light," the boy said annoyed, "that's been something I haven't seen in a while." The kid paused and looked up at Sango studying him. "So then, how did you find out about the one who killed your clan, and just what kind of tricks do you have to get rid of him?" he asked, a hint of an accusing tone in his voice. "I'd like to get a shot at him but I can't. Considering I'm restricted to these forms now."

Sango looked at the boy. “I already know there is no way I can defeat him and survive the fight…so I’ll just have to take him with me to the abyss”, Sango said in a serious tone. “But my power isn’t something I can just show off, I may give you a preview soon”. The boy looked annoyed at Sango, but Sango replied. “Your race has been around since the beginning of the world if I’m not mistaken…so you know more about his power then anyone else, but you know its none of our business, so keep it a secret…”, Sango then whispered in the boys ear so Shirube couldn’t hear, “…And its better Shirube and Kyle don’t know, right?”. The boy only nodded and went back to Shirube.

The boy was pissed off at Sango's attitude. Take the thing with him to the abyss, huh? He's seen numerous cases of those Even if I have to sacrifice my life, I'll take him down kind of things, only few have accomplished what they have promised and became idolized as true heroes. He doubts Sango will be able to do the same. But it was no use complaining to Shirube. It was better for her not to find out she was related to that thing through myths and ancient bloodlines. He knew she would be in danger if she were to confront him. He stood there, looking at the sleeping vampire. She's exactly the reincarnation of his friend. The boy's best friend, Stephen, knew as well, but fell in love with her anyway. If she didn't run, history might repeat itself again. Ahh, I wonder how it will turn out this time, the boy wondered, sitting down and paying attention to the surroundings and sounds, including the scraping of sand from far away.

Sango looked to the sky and saw a bird flying towards them. “That’s not a bird you can find in the desert…”. Sango looked at Shirube and the boy, the boy was wide awake, but Shirube was still sleeping. Sango turned back to look at the bird, “Clou’s arrived at last…but he doesn’t seem as hostile as he did before”. He then turned in the directions of where he sensed Kyle’s aura. “Kyle is almost here as well”. Sango crossed his arms and waited for them both to arrive. “Will there be a battle? I can’t tell at the moment…”, Sango thought to himself.

The boy hugged his legs and looked at the hawk. A strange animal to transform into, he thought. "Looks like he wants to do something other than fight. Perhaps deliver a message?" If the bounty hunter wanted to fight, he surely would have chosen another animal form. Not this one, surely. He looked to the girl, wishing for her to wake up and run, but at the same time stay. Better not give any information so freely about this, he thought bitterly.

Kyle saw the three assembled together as he rode Yun towards them. Seeing the druid with Shinzo and a boy, he was confused.
"I thought you were here for Shinzo's head." Kyle said jumping off his horse and staring at the druid with narrowed eyes. He looked around the desert and frowned, feeling uneasy.
"So you feel it too?" The boy asked looking at him.
Kyle didnt know what the kid was talking about and pointedly ignored him, "I have a score to settle with you trol-" He began and stopped, the three were staring over his shoulder at something. He turned and at first saw nothing and then slowly against the opressing desert sun, he saw a silhoutte of a man. Who the hell is that? Kyle thought. Yun, Toki and Jano had risen from the ground and were growling ferociously at the figure. He looked at them surprised, they had never before acted on their own without his orders.
He turned to look at the others and from their expressions discerned that it wasnt a friend of theirs. "Sorry for being out of the loop." He muttered sarcastically, "But what the hell is going on here?"

Sango glared at the silhoutte that appeared, and without warning, unsheatheed his sword and charged at it. The others were surprised by his actions and watched him charge. Sango swung his sword at the silhoutte, but his sword went right through it. Sango looked up and sheathed his sword, “Now there is no doubt he has returned…”, Sango said to himself as he looked into the distance, where he saw a young boy just standing there. The others saw him as well, they were all surprised to see a young child in the desert, but the boy with Shirube was the most surprised to see that boy. The boy standing in the desert didn’t appear to move at all or have any expression on his face. Sango looked at him and addressed the boy in the desert, “You’re the same Shikigami from before…”, just then, the boy disappeared in the blowing desert sand. Sango walked back to the others and looked at the boy next to Shirube. He leaned down and whispered in the boy‘s ear, “You’re a Shikigami…aren’t you?”

Sango closed his eyes and spoke, “That Shikigami was only a spy, and Shikigami aren’t like normal spirits, they can’t be killed or exorcised”. He could tell Clou was surprised by his words. “Then how do you get rid of a Shikigami?!”, Clou yelled at Sango angrily. Sango looked at him and sighed, “The only way to get rid of one is to destroy whatever they are bond to…in this case, we would need to destroy the source of that evil presence. He could tell Clou was about to say something, but Sango interrupted him before he could say it. “He’s not human, demon, or anything from this realm…he is pure darkness, nothing more, nothing less…the only thing that can destroy pure darkness, is pure light…and I know for a fact nothing like that exists in this realm”. He turns to Clou, “That one that is creating that evil presence is the one that slaughtered my clan…so I must fight him, at the cost of my life”. Sango had a look in his eyes that you almost never see nowadays. It was pure determination.

Kyle was definitly feeling out of the loop, he stared at where the figure had stood and then at the conversing men. How the druid had gone from enemy to friend was beyond him, worse he wanted to get even with him badly. His jaw still felt a little tender. He was starting to feel annoyed but he held it in. He walked over to his animals.
"What was he?" He asked quietly.
"We're not sure." Toki mumbled, "But his aura was beyond anything I have ever felt." The other two nodded their agreement. Kyle cursed under his breath, detecting aura's was not his thing if not for his animals he would have been dead long ago by sneak attacks.
He looked again at the druid and felt that suggesting a battle here to even the score was not the right time. He shrugged and got on Yun.
"Hey troll." He called out. Clou turned to look at him, his eyes deadly. "I will even the score with you oneday." Kyle said coldly, then he turned to the younger man. "Shinzo, I have no more business here, I'll be on my way." Nodding to the younger boy with him, he started trotting away.

Sango grabbed Kyle’s shoulder before he was able to leave. “No…now we need you more then ever”, Sango said in an almost sorrowful tone. Kyle looked at him and thought he saw sorrow in his eyes. “Trust me, you will understand soon enough”. Sango said in his normal tone.

Sango turned towards the evil aura. “Don’t follow me…”, he said as he disappeared, leaving no way to be tracked by anyone. The others were left in a confused state, wondering what he meant by that. But just as they were about to follow, they saw something on the ground. It was a picture of an older man, older woman, and two young children, one looked about 9, the other about 5. “Who are these people?”, Kyle said as he looked at the picture. He turned the picture around and saw writing on the back. What he read filled him with dread. The back read, “If avenging them will bring honor back to the Shinzo name, the fate of my soul means nothing”.

A burst of laughter errupted from Clou once again, beating the ground excessively while holding his stomach, "this guy is too funny." Clou called out, "What's so funny? Now we cant find him!" Kyle whined, "Not really... The blood I've placed on his skin had already merged with his own cells, it's already in his blood stream, meaning a piece of my scent is in him, therefore he is very trackable by my nose, but only to a certain range of five kilometers." Clou explained, "So you wanna fight now... Or never?" Clou smiled, never shifting his expression from before nor taking his gaze off of Kyle.

Kyle stared back at Clou expressionlessly, he knew this was his only chance to get even with the druid. Slowly he took out his dagger. And slashed his forearm, blood spilled on the sand and he bent down to draw four symbols on the ground. He closed his eyes and concentrated his mana, then, "I summon you, Suzaku, Seiryuu, Byakko and Genbu." The four legendary animals materialised before him. Kyle bowed to them. Then he turned to the druid, "I hope you have some tricks up your sleeve troll." Kyle said softly, "They wont go easy on you."

With a great burst of energy Clou drew out energy from cactuses and small amount of particles from the sand, he used his necklace to weild the power of nature, though there was very little, it was something to help him in the situation. "Since you keep calling me a troll I'll just let you do that for now, but when I beat you I suggest you stop!" said Clou, his smile seeming less violent, more to have fun than be serious "Berserk of Endurance! Iron Fur Aura!" he mumbled under his breath, growing more fur from his body, glimering with the sun's rays and striking to every direction like nails off the other side of a punctured wood. flipped back seven times to gain ground then quickly pointed his palm at Kyl'es legs "Entangling roots!" suddenly thick thorny vines errupted under the young man and wrapped his entire lower body tight with multiple vines, then with his other arm he lashed another spell "Faery Fire!" this time a faint purple glow raised itself from Kyle's body, in a form of fire. Kyle began to thrash and slap himself thinking of the magic as a hostile entity, then later found out it did not hurt, nothing but nuisance.

Clou held his stance surveying the formation of the four beasts. The dragon and pheonix both took two sides slightly behind their master, while the turtle stood at the very front as their shield. The tiger sprung from the side with a loud roar echoing through Cloufrin's very soul, he took the hit and used his arm as bait. Sparks errupted from the clash of fangs and steel fur, Clou was not hurt but the tiger's deadly fangs held him tightly, using his own power alone he thursted his knee up and struck the tiger's bottom jaw, then used his other leg to trip both it's front legs to one side, while tilting it's head to another, bringing it down hard on one side of it's face. The moment the jaw loosened a bit he dashed towards the other three, his eyes locked on the faery fire that he could easily spot through the turtle.
