The style of execution for combat scenes greatly vary. Some of the most cliched ones are the prolonged preparation for a few attacks and the cycling of a repeated image as a filler. Additionally, some fight scenes seem to lack consistent flow, where sometimes the character's actions seem a little sluggish and unnatural at certain points.

But then there are those few series where the action really shines. Which Anime series do you think has the most fluidly choreographed fight scenes?

Personally, I love the fighting style of Samurai Champloo, because it's always fast and always at the same pace too. Also, the entire fights themselves are unique and don't contain too much repetition.

And if Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children qualifies as Anime, that would definitely be my top pick.

Dragonball Z even though it did have the repeating scenes still well put together especially the Goku vs Majin Vegita fight...FMA also had some well done battles...Beserk considering the numbers involved in some of the scenes was also pretty well done...thats all i got for now

I agree with samurai champloo.
But hajime no ippo only has like a few good fights.
And there are like 50 episodes.

Nice one! Hajime no Ippo is one of my favorite animes =]

For me I would have to say Soul Eater. The beginning of Episode 1 has a pretty nice fight.
